We stayed at the Inn this past weekend, booked in for 2 nights. 17 of us, ranging in age from 2 to 70. We had lovely, clean rooms and everything we needed. With a group this large and so many children, we were afraid of disturbing others, but never a problem. Front desk staff had a constant smile on their faces and were incredibly helpful.

I've stayed in MANY quality inns and their sister hotels and I have NEVER had such a horrible smelling room. I'm not sure if it is the cleaning product used or what but it is horrible. I booked an entire week at different QS on the east coast for my husbands birthday and this is a huge dissappointment.
Not to mention the stains on the carpet. My understanding was that the hotel had been refurbished - clearly we did not get one of those rooms.

We went to Charlottetown to celebrate a birthday with our son who is attending school there. We decided to stay @ QI and we're joined by friends from Summerside.

We were having a conversation and a few laughs when a knock came to the door. It was Mike Cramer, the manager on duty. He told us that someone had called and complained that we were too noisy. We thought it was very odd and that the place must be very poorly insulated. We said we were sorry but didn't think that we were noisy enough for anyone to complain.

We went into whisper mode at this point as to not disturb anyone else.

Within 15 minutes, Another knock @ the door. Mike Cramer again. Mike was very unpleasant this time and said that he had another noise complaint. We were shocked. We tried to tell him that we were not making any noise in our opinion buy he wouldn't even listen to us. He proceeded to tell us that if he was to come back again he would have the police and would kick us out. We couldn't believe what we were hearing.

My friend who is a employed by the federal government tried to talk to Mr Cramer and he was very uncooperative and so insulting to her that he brought her to tears.

At this point we left the building and went to stay with other friends in the other building.

Quality Inn must be hard up for persons to work the night shift to allow this individual to work with the public.

We were visiting Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island for the first time. Book the Inn via the 800 number. Requested a King NS room with refrigerator and microwave. No problem and received the confirmation. Well surprise, surprise. The room was in an out building on the second floor and it was a connecting room. When expressed this was unacceptable the response was we are booked for the night; but have a room in another out building on the main floor; but no refrigerator and microwave. I accepted the original room. The noise from the connecting room the first night was unbelievable. I asked to have our room changed the next night and got the same response, we are booked; but the people that were in the adjoining room left and a "quite couple" checked in. At this point I remained in the room, since there was no real choice. I could not believe the next night - again about 3AM it sounded like a party going on; it was so loud I was able to understand the conversations at one point. Anyway, we checked out a day earlier then planned. Bottom line: ask where your room will be located - in the main building or outer building walk ups and if there is an adjoining room. Call the hotel directly.

Room Tip: Stay away from adjoining rooms; you never know what will be behind door number 1. If walking up to t...

Everything was great, except upon check in we were informed there was a $100 deposit for the room which was never mentioned when making the reservations. Otherwise it was great. It is close to shops and restaurants downtown.

My husband and I took a daytrip from Halifax and only stayed here for one night.Had I known about their newer suites I would have booked.Would reccommend asking about those-unsure of difference in price.I wouldn't say we had the most comfortable nights rest. The beds and pillows were very hard-but some people do prefer a firm mattress. However only staying one night -it was ok.I would have inquired to switch to the newer room had we stayed longer. The location is great though- short walk to the harbor-several shops and dining. The breakfast was also good-included with the room-making for a better value.-would reccommend.

I was not expecting at all the quality and beauty of the rooms when we booked into a "chain hotel." Hold back any stereotypes you may have about mass hotels, this was amazing! Quaint historic buildings with romantic rooms, satisfying breakfasts and the best customer service we have had on the Island. Beyond that, although they do not have a pool, they will give you free passes to the UPEI Rec Centre which is awesome!!!! I cannot say enough about our stay here. It was so wonderful.

Room Tip: Holland Grove is beautiful and has beautiful suites. The rooms are more unique and quaint in the his...
