Even before we arrived owners Jay & Carol made us welcome. Their confirmation came with a list of restaurants along with an offer to help with reservations for dinner, a visit from a masseuse, and more.
I've avoided B&B places for a while now, but this inn's Cunard Suite brought me back. The whole house remains tastefully decorated in period Victorian (but not overdone), but the Cunard's bathroom (with Jacuzz tub) is modern. The suite includes a small kitchenette and a fridge stocked with cold soft drinks. PEI is usually cool, but we used the room A/C on our visit.
Breakfast was delicious - raisin French toast with freshly squeezed orange juice and fresh fruit one day, scrambled eggs with homemade biscuits the next. Chives and chive oil from Jay's garden, and Carol's homemade strawberry preserves were perfect too. Some tables for two give privacy.
Assisting with our laundry was a huge bonus.
You can walk downtown in about 20 minutes, or drive in 5. Carol will go over a driving plan for island trips, telling you hidden gems. The loan of a parks pass gets you into the provincial parks by the shore.
I'm glad to get them onto Yelp. They've been in business for 20+ years and deserve continued success. A really great intro to the Island.More
