“A Vegetarian's Delight”
Reviewed 23 September 2012

I love Tai Chi Gardens because all of their food is vegetarian friendly and a lot of it is also vegan friendly. They have a wonderful relaxed atmosphere and the staff is amazing. The only downside to Tai Chi Gardens is that it is only open for lunch.

“Excellent Food and Friendly Service”
Reviewed 13 August 2012

Tai Chi is our favourite restaurant in Charlottetown. As long-term vegetarians, we appreciate the option to eat at a restaurant where we don't have to worry about "surprise" meat content. There are a wide variety of selections available but our favourite is the Hot and Sour Soup with rice; it is unlike any other hot and sour soup that we've had anywhere. Kenny and Wenny are very friendly hosts/owners and they lend their brand of zen to the atmosphere.

“Very nice, make sure your socks or feet are clean...”
Reviewed 13 July 2012

You take off your shoes before entering. The floor is light wood and clean. The tables are not crowded together, and located in two rooms and a table on the street-side patio. The menu is nice, but not very extensive or explanatory. Prices are very moderate. Service was quick at times, spotty at others. Once our meals were served, no one came back to inquire or refill our water glasses. I was surprised to see eggs in a vegetarian restaurant. I had the noodle (with egg) dish which was quite delicious, as were the starters. Recommended!

“Unwind with Lunch at Tai Chi Gardens”
Reviewed 5 June 2012

A little island of peace and relaxation in the capital of Prince Edward Island, Canada. Tai Chi Gardens offers a delightful vegetarian menu that pleases the palate and relaxes the mind and body.
My wife and I have had another lunch there today: a Golden Harvest soup to warm us up - yes, it is June, but a high of just 12 degrees C today - followed by a wholsome dish of Golden Lotus Rice (for me) and Curry Rice Veggie (for her), drowned with heaps of High Mountain Tea; and a mouthwatering Plum Tart for a perfect finale. Kenny, Wenny and Michael - immigrants to Canada from Taiwan - have done very well in creating this unique ambience, and at a staggeringly affordable price: our meal today cost a total of Can$29, after tax! You don't just take your footwear off when you get to Tai Chi, but you also leave your worries behind, even if only temporarily.
