We planned to visit the casino during our trip to Charlottetown as a "rainy day" activity. Well, it didn't end up raining (gotta love unpredictable island weather!) but we went anyway, and were glad that we did! We went on a Friday, which is when they have their Surf and Turf buffet. It was DELICIOUS!!! We made a reservation but it probably wasn't needed (there was no horse race - they are only held on Thursdays and Fridays - so not as busy). The variety and quality of the food was superb, and the service was extremely friendly.
We visited the casino afterwards. It's small (and I say that as someone has only been to one or two other casinos) but fun. We spent some time on the slot machines and had some drinks (very friendly service at the bar!) Didn't come out on top but the buffet and the friendly staff was definitely worth it! Just a 5 minute cab ride to downtown, where we went after we left the casino.
We would certainly visit again, simply for the Surf and Turf buffet!!
