“pleasant mansion turned B&B”
Reviewed 10 August 2014

Arrived late evening after a day of driving around Nova Scotia. Pleasantly surprised by the Inn keeper, for whom a 9.30 pm arrival was no problem, and who happily helped make a dinner reservation. Very well kept with charming artifacts. The breakfast was good, but nothing out of the ordinary. It was a nice touch that staff (seemed to be) youngsters on school break, working and r making an effort. Don't forget to stroll Charlottetown itself -- the place where Canada was formed.

Thanks for the review. It's great that you had the opportunity to roam around Charlottetown as 2014 is an especially big year here on the island! We find it very important to be as accommodating to our guests as possible, no matter the check in time. Hopefully you will return to PEI in the future and stay with us again! Thanks

we were lucky enough to be able to spend 5 nights in this wonderful b and b.our room was called Florence babe rogers suite,it was large and had every single thing one could want....just out side our room was a small sun-room that i just feel in love with..you could see the town from there and watch everyone coming and going..its a short walk to downtown and restaurants night life..every where we eat the food was fresh and flavorful. Doris and Judy could not do enough for us..the breakfast was cooked to order every morning starting with fresh fruit and some kind of muffin or hot bread than on to a full hot breakfast...every afternoon Doris would make fresh lemonade and chocolate chip cookies..on our last night AL mentioned that he loved oatmeal cookies with raisins..as we were leaving this wonderful place Doris came running out with a bag of oatmeal cookies...needless to say we left feeling so happy and our souls had been renewed.we could not thank them enough..the owners of this place have two jewels that work for them.

Thank you for taking the time to write such a detailed review, it really means a lot to us! The sun room really is a great little area, I also enjoy spending lots of time in there. I will be sure to pass on your praises to Doris and Judy, we certainly could not operate the way we do without them! Hopefully we will see you back here some time in the future.

My husband and I recently stayed two nights at this wonderful inn. We stayed in the loft which was not only charming but spacious and full of small thoughtful touches. The antique furniture and gracious rooms are a delight throughout but the warmth and helpfulness of all the staff made it really special.

The Fairholm Inn is a very special place! Amazing history and architecture, very accommodating, and super dog friendly. We brought our Poodle x and he had full run of the house and yard. Everyone was so inviting and we had a wonderful stay. Great food and location! Highly recommended... you will love your stay here! Also... there's a ghost!

Thanks for taking the time to review us Kyla! It's always nice to have a furry little friend come for a stay, your dog could not have been any more well behaved. The Fairholm staff and ghost hope you'll join us again for another visit!

Our choice of accommodation during a conference my husband was attending was this lovely b&b, instead of the chain hotel hosting the event.
We were lucky enough to stay in the Brecken Suite located on the top floor of this spectacular property. It is very private and spacious, with all the amenities one could ask for: 2 person jetted tub, large shower, separate seating area, king sized bed.
Breakfasts were made to order, with 2 choices daily and freshly baked chocolate chip cookies and hot tea/coffee was available late afternoons.
We thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay.

Hopefully you and your husband were able to get downtown Charlottetown and take in some of the festivities during your business trip. Hope to see you in the future!

I recently returned from a wonderful trip to PEI with my adult daughter. We stayed at the Fairholm Inn and it was the highlight of our trip! The room was comfortable and the breakfasts excellent. The breakfasts are served in the beautiful dining room and include hot choices. More than enough well prepared food to take us to late in the afternoon. I will recommend the Inn to any one who asks...and when I return to PEI....I will definitely stay at the Fairholm Inn! The Inn is within walking distance to wonderful Charlottetown and also convenient for the various day trips to the shore or scenic drives.

Room Tip: You can't go wrong selecting a room....they are all nice.

We stayed at the Fairholm Inn mid June of this year. We have stayed in many B+B's while travelling and Fairholm rates as one of the best we have had the pleasure of experiencing. The Irene Rogers room has been exceptionally restored and was very comfortable. The hot breakfasts were excellent and well presented by the friendly and accommodating staff. The Inn is centrally located in Charlottetown and within easy walking distance to many bistros and touristy things to do. We would stay here again in a heartbeat and highly recommend Fairholm Inn to anybody that would be visiting the beautiful city of Charlottetown PEI.
