Travelled to PEI for a weekend, booked the sail in advance. Confirmed the day before as requested. On the day of the sail, as our group was visiting from another province and didn't know our way around, we had printed the directions (from google maps) for the address listed on the website. Drove to the address, come to find out it was a MAILING address only. Called the guy, told him we'd be late as we got lost, he said okay no problem. At that time he did not provide us with the appropriate address, so we searched the company website for another one. Found another address about 30 minutes from the mailing address, drive to that one thinking we had the right one. Arrive on a dirt road in the middle of no where.
At this point, obviously a little frustrated by getting TWO wrong addresses off the COMPANY website, we call him again and he then states "oh, thats my home address, not the marina". (Still can't figure out why a business owner would have his HOME address listed on his BUSINESS website.) He finally tells us the proper address which is another 30 minutes away. After being lost for an hour and a half and following a wild goose chase to 2 wrong addresses, we would have been late to another arrangement had we still gone on the tour, so we were forced to cancel. At no time when initially booking the tour, contacting him multiple times, nor during us cancelling did he mention there would be any form of charges for cancelling. Today we checked our credit card statement and there are charges from this company.
Was not a good experience, at all. Would be fine if you live in the area and know your way around, but for out of province visitors who don't know the area, having two incorrect business addresses on a website is VERY misleading. And to still charge us on top of that...unbelievable.
