We stopped in for dinner after noticing the restaurant during a tour of the city. The menu offered a good range of food, but the spotlight is on the seafood. We started with the seafood spring rolls, which were nice and crispy, although a trifle greasy for my taste, with two really good dipping sauces. I had the scallop and mussel linguini, which was absolutely delicious. Oddly, although advertised as linguini, the pasta used was spaghetti. No big deal, except that they might have mentioned the substitution. My partner had the chicken, which was thoroughly enjoyed. Fairly good wine selection.
The service was good. Our waitress was prompt and polite. The only downside to the meal was that we were sitting next to the reception desk and were obliged to listen to the hostess and servers' discussions of their social lives, which was annoying.
Other than that, I would recommend a visit to the Merchantman. You will enjoy it!
