We were at an ADL ice cream vendor and asked some locals if it was the best ice cream on the Island, as we wanted to save our indulgence for the best. They said it was, which surprised me, as it was just like most ice cream you purchase commercially - obviously containing fillers and not just pure cream, sugar and natural flavors (the ice cream got 'foamy' as the cones started to melt - the first dead giveaway, besides the mouth feel, artificial flavor and the way you just feel 'yech' after consuming it). By comparison, COWS, as we discovered later, is the real deal. Just fresh, natural, flavorful ingredients. Totally worth the price. We especially enjoyed the scoops made with PEI grown strawberries, blueberries and raspberries.
