Warn House Bed and Breakfast

We chose Warn House for our 10th wedding anniversary because of the rave reviews. We were not disappointed.

Alice and Gerry are wonderful hosts and Warn House is a very relaxing place to stay. The house has a lovely atmosphere and is absolutely immaculate.

Breakfasts were delicious and varied each day. We would most definitely recommend choosing an evening meal at Warn House. Gerry is a fabulous chef and the Moussaka is to die for.

Our room, Richmond Room, was beautiful and quiet. The bed and linen were extremely comfortable. Ensuite facilities were excellent.

Summerside is a great place to base yourself for exploring Central PEI and Northern Cape. Charlottetown is 45minutes drive, within easy reach for a show and evening out.

Of our three week vacation in the Maritimes, this was absolute favourite. We can not recommend highly enough.

This was a first for my husband and I. We had not stayed in a B & B before. I highly recommend this beautiful home and the wonderful hospitality from Gerry and Alice, the host and hostess...also owners. We stayed four nights and had the Captains Room. What a beautiful view, it looked out onto their lovely gardens and beautiful yard. Gerry is a very wonderful chef. Our breakfast each morning was absolutely delicious and very beautifully presented. They grow their own herbs and decorate each plate. We met such wonderful people each day. We have great memories of PEI because of our wonderful accommodations. Will definitely stay here again if we are able to visit PEI again. Thank you Gerry and Alice....by the way, a little extra one morning during breakfast was the wonderful fiddle music by our hostess Alice Bérubé.

My daughter and I spent 4 nights of a 10 day holiday with Gerry & Alice at Warn House - and we loved it. The warm welcome and the beautifully decorated rooms and the delicious breakfasts - that keep you going until dinner! We took advantage of Gerry's culinary skills and enjoyed two gourmet meals. We both loved it and would definitely return.

This B&B was cute. Very quiet location - on a "main" road but it's next to a cemetery and summerside seems so sleepy that the main road really had very little traffic.
The people running it were very nice. The breakfast was quite large and good (apparently the man of the house was a chef elsewhere, he takes great pride in cooking and it shows). I believe that some of the produce is home grown (they mentioned they have a garden but the weather this year wasn't co-operating as well as it could so this may depend on the month).
The B&b is in summerside, but its not really close to anything and summerside is rather empty so it could be a decent place to stay if you are touring around - but if you wish to stay and walk around a "city" this is not the place to go(try charlottetown instead.)
There are very few food options in summerside that we could find so you might want to seriously consider eating at the b&b, we didn't try the dinner, but given the breakfast I'm guessing it would be nice.
We were the only people at this b&b so it was very quiet. All the bedrooms are upstairs. The bathroom in Anne's room is tiny - shower only (not a problem for us but maybe for others), there seemed to be a main bathroom on the top floor (perhaps communal?) and it looked like a regular sized bathroom(with tub i think). The only thing i can think that might be a problem is temperature. There was a fan in our room but it didn't seem to do much, but as there were two windows (and it cooled down at night) we had them open and the temperature cooled off.

My mother and I stayed for 2 nights at the Warn House in June. We were doing a tour of Nova Scotia and PEI - revisiting my mother's roots and family. The Warn House is centrally situated in Summerside. The house has been restored with shining hardwood floors (which may be why we were asked to remove our shoes). We stayed in the Campbell room, which is kitted with twin beds (our request). We were surprised to find out that the private bathroom described on the website was across the hall. I think the biggest surprise was to find a small card on the bathroom sink on the morning of day 2 advising us that black face cloths were to be used for makeup removal and that and the white towels/facecloths that had to be replaced (I guess due to damage caused by our not using the aforementioned black cloths) would be charged to our bill. I understand the message, and would gladly pay for any linen that was inadvertently left with traces of makup, but I'm disappointed that a more personal approach wasn't taken in communication. On the positive side, Gerry's breakfasts were wonderful. Very healthy, hearty and delicous. The Warn House was in a great location, with amenities such as wi-fi, and laundry facilities - and you could pre-arrange dinner prepared by chef Gerry.

The highlight of our trip to PEI was our stay at Warn House. Gerry and Alice have given such thought to the details that make their guests comfortable. Rather than going out for dinner, we requested a meal at home and were treated to a fantastic lobster dinner. The next morning, along with the other B&B guests we enjoyed conversation and a breakfast fit for a king! If you are planning on staying in Summerside, do not pass the Warn House B&B up. You will not be sorry.
