Extremely nice hotel, friendly staff that spoke both French and English. Quick and easy checkin and a very nice Euro style room. Restaurant downstairs was extremely good for dinner and breakfast and a very nice selection of wines. The Canadian sauvignon was pretty impressive. Would be nice if breakfast was included but despite that it was well presented with a great variety of food. Starbucks coffee cup for the road too. Bar was very nice and drink prices were normal fare. Room service food at anytime for snacks or whatever up until 10PM. The reviews I read listed the Delta as the nicest hotel in town and although I had not stayed at any other I am in total agreement to its quality of service.

Room Tip: Great and comfortable place to stay

I've been there with my girlfriend and everything was very clean and comfortable. The staff was prompt and courteous. I was able to plug my laptop into the TV with cable include in the room and we also had a iHome alarm radio into which I had plugged my iPhone and listened to music while going to sleep. We would definitely stay again.

My wife and I along with our daughter spent two nights at the Delta Saguenay in Jonquiere QC which is in the Chicoutimi area. We were in town for a sporting event and this hotel offered a good place to sleep and close to the venue along with shopping and restaurants. The lobby, hallway and rooms are clean and the staff was friendly even when trying to bridge the French to English barrier gap at times.

We arrived a little early for check in but since our room was ready we were allowed to check in which was great after driving for several hours. The staff on the front desk were able to speak both English and French which help make check in smooth. The staff on the desk always smiled when we passed by during our stay.

The room we booked was equipped with two queen beds and it was a pretty standard room. There was a large TV mounted on the wall and the smart desk offered plenty of space to work if needed and also had various connections that would allow you to link your lap top or other mobile device to display on the TV if you so choose to do. The bathroom was basic with a sink and large counter surface but our room only had a walk in glass shower without the option of a tub for soaking; I’m not sure if any rooms come equipped with soaker tubs so keep this in mind if you are not a big shower person. The washroom did provide a hair dryer that was not mounted to the wall so you could use it in the room and not be restricted to the bathroom when multiple people are getting ready in the morning. The beds were on the softer side and offered three pillows each but they were good, soft but thick enough to support your head. As well the room did provide a mini fridge which is great for keep any drinks or food items cold in your room.

The biggest drawback we found was the noise that leaked into the room along with the AC was louder than other hotels we have stayed in the past. If you ran the AC during the night to keep the room cool be prepared for it to be on the loud side. We also found the noise in the hallway from other guests being in the hallway was not muffled much as you could hear fairly clearly people talking or closing their door. The sound from room to room did not seem bad only the hallway noise seem to less drowned out by the door. I would not say they we had any other guest being overly loud but may be noisy more to layout of the hotel. Our room overlooked a residential neighborhood but I would not say we were disturbed by the street or any outside the hotel noises from the parking lot which is good.

The hotel only offers an outdoor pool and during our time in mid may it was still empty so they had not set this area up yet for the summer months. Off the main lobby there is a small workout room for the guests. As well near the front desk you will find a restaurant and lounge area but the hotel is connected to a mall with inside access from the hotel for its guests. This was great since there are several stores to shop along with a drug store and grocery store to accompany a sit down restaurant and a small food court. The food court does not have any major fast food places but seem to be more local eateries that will server breakfast, lunch and dinner at reasonable prices. It is nice to have the grocery store that you can walk to inside for snacks and such for your room. As well in the immediate area there are a couple of fast food places and chain restaurants so the options for eating nearby are plenty. We found the hotel to be about 10 mins from another part of the region that offers much more in eating, shopping and hotels that is close to the university.

Overall it is a good clean place to stay in the area but the noise from the hallway and AC are a slight drawback for giving the hotel top marks.

Thank you for your comments, we are glad to know you enjoyed your stay and that our staff was able to make a positive difference. For your information, we do offer rooms with a tub.
We were sorry to learn you thought there was too much noise in the room, it is important for us to make sure our guests get the best rest possible, even more so when they drove a long way or had a long day of work or sightseeing.

We would like to thank you again for your sincere review.

I had stayed here previously when it was a Holiday Inn and wasn't that impressed, but as a Delta I am.
The hotel appears to have been recently renovated as our rooms were fresh and top-notch. The front desk service was prompt and friendly and if your a non-French speaker (as I am), their English was perfect.
As for the room, we had a king bed with a large flat screen TV. The room was roomy and comfortable.
The hotel restaurant is acceptable as well.

We stayed for two nights and were very happy with just about everything: the comfort and cleanliness of the room, the friendliness and efficiency of the service, the compactness of the property, and even the high quality of the breakfast buffet. Seems to be by far the best option in the area.

My only complaint was that there were a number of whirring noises that kept me up throughout the night. The heater, the fridge, some other unidentified irritant. I almost got out of bed and wrote a scathing review right then and there. Even the toilets which we could hear flushing in neighbouring rooms were unbelievably loud. My husband unplugged everything in the room and still some noise continued.... and we woke up freezing. The second night wasn't as bad as we were so exhausted we slept through the cacophony.

Stayed for 2 nights on business. Hotel very busy with US snowmobile travellers, but accommodates everyone. Rooms are well appointed and clean. Great business oreinted esk and w-i-d-e screen TV with great channel selection.
Restaurant has great selection for dinner and great service. Breakfast buffet good value and quality.
Hotel is near a mall, liquor store, Tim Hortons and McDonald's so lots of choice around. Other restaurants are available in Jonquiere and Chicoutami.
The local fjords are great to see, and in summer would be spectacular.
Worth the 2.5 hour drive from Quebec City.

Room Tip: 6th floor was great
