Stayed here on business. This was my third visit to Montreal and this was easily the best hotel not only in terms of comfort but especially too, the friendliness of the staff.
My room (upgraded foc) was enormous, stylish and very, very comfortable.
Only two nit-picks - the water in the room should be free and the building site immediately outside my 8th floor window.
But otherwise a very pleasant stay made all the nicer by the friendly lady on reception and the attentive waiter at breakfast - who was even complimentary about my schoolboy french!
And the next time I'm in Montreal, I'll definitely return to the Le Crystal.

Le Crystal exceeded every expectation before and upon our arrival. I had been vacillating between staying in Old Montréal and downtown, and was relieved to have chosen Le Crystal with its excellent service and convenient location. I was moving my daughter into her dorm at McGill University, and it was a hectic few days of non-stop activity for us. Le Crystal was an absolute haven to come "home" to, a true oasis of quiet and respite from our very busy days. Our only regret during our few days there, was that we weren't able to spend more time in our wonderful suite or to enjoy the fine restaurant, pool, and spa. It's truly a place to relax and unwind, but located just one block from the hubbub of city life. How very grateful we were to have discovered Le Crystal, and for the next four years of my daughter's undergraduate education, I will not even consider staying at any other hotel in Montreal -- this is how much we enjoyed staying there.

A heartfelt thank you to Mylène for her help in making our stay, simply, perfect! My daughter and I look forward to subsequent visits to Le Crystal, and have already highly recommended this wonderful hotel to our friends and family.

On a girls trip into Montreal we stayed at Hotel Le Crystal. We were so very pleasantly surprised, beyond our expectations. From the on set, the entrance to the hotel is elegance and chic. The warm glow from their large crystal ball chandelier welcomed us. It was truely a mesmorizing call to the eyes as was the lounge furniture. Our room was small, but so very clean with great quality amenities. The view from our third floor room were outstanding, especially all the city buildings lite up at night. We were loving their large salt pool, it felt so very European and elegant too. The best was the views from the upper deck area where the hot tub was. My girlfriends and decided on a group massage in their room set for three and we felt like we were in the best of the best. The spa experience absolutely made our trip worth while, from the incredible art work on the walls, decadent plush white robes, tea, ambiance and service, were all celebrity worthy. The restaurant is a must too. The food presentation, taste and wine selection was amazing too. An added plus is the hotel is walking distance from a lot of the sites. We will definitely return because our stay at this hotel was one of our best experiences ever!

We prefer bed-and-breakfast-type hotels to those with a more corporate feel, so perhaps take this with a grain of salt, but this hotel had a rather impersonal feel to us. The pool and hot tub/deck were fantastic and afforded remarkable views of the city. The shower head was amazing. This hotel is smack in the middle of downtown and is at least a 20-minute walk, if not longer, to many destination of interest to tourists. Would likely be a fantastic hotel for business travelers, but not as much for weekend tourists.

My husband and I spent a long weekend here for our 1 year anniversary. Parking was easy - valet parking. I think we were meant to be charged for it but they never actually charged us (which was nice!).

Checking in was easy and fast. The lobby is lovely, with a really pretty waterfall. Our room was huge. Very spacious, not what we expected! It had a wet bar and a fridge which was helpful. No regular coffee though, only espresso, which was a bit strange for us. Maybe a Canadian thing? The bed was actually not too bad, pretty comfortable. I loved the shower, it was enormous and had dual spouts, one was a waterfall shower head which was really amazing.

Breakfast was included in the room which was also delicious. Much better than the normal standard hotel breakfast, with smoked salmon and pastries to die for. The yogurt was delicious, my husband fell in love with it. Too bad we can't get it in the US.

The only annoying thing was the cash machine was broken. At least, it never worked for us. We had to walk down to the Esso gas station a block away to get cash.

It was in a fabulous location. It was within walking distance of two metro stops, and Rue Sainte-Catherine which had a street market on (it was mid-July) which was really nice to look around.

The salt-water pool was nice - not too warm, perfect temperature. The roof-top spa was really fantastic. You can sit and relax while enjoying a marvelous view of Montreal.

Le Crystal was a wonderful choice for our two-night visit to Montreal. We could walk to Crescent Street boutiques, to shopping meccas like Ogilvy's and Tiffany's, to museums, the Bell Arena, Place Bonadventure, the Metro, the train station, and even to Old Montreal. The rooftop salt-water pool, sauna and hot-tub looking out over Mont Royal were a real delight. Our room came with granite, and chrome, and rain showers, and robes, and internet, and fridges, and microwaves, and dishes, and windows that open. The public spaces had great art, beautiful chandeliers and lots of light. We loved the place and recommend it gladly.

Room Tip: We took the lowest-cost room and had everything we could have desired. Why pay more?

We return to Montréal twice a year to visit family and enjoy North America's most interesting and vibrant city -- and won't stay anywhere but at Le Crystal. In fact, we check their availability before setting our travel dates. It's excellently located, and offers the service and comfort we need, and we invariably book an executive suite, with kitchenette and balcony. Two full bathrooms including a superb and spacious main one with oversized tub plus shower stall. And, during colder weather, the suite also offers a fireplace. We have always found the service warm, efficient and informative, with people around to help at any time of the day and night. La Coupole, the restaurant on the premises with outdoor terrace, is also an excellent choice, in a city which offers the best dining in North America. Over the years we lived in Montréal and have returned to visit, we've experienced many of the city's hotels, but Le Crystal is by far the best!

Room Tip: All room options are great, but if the budget allows -- and they are quite reasonable for what they...
