Bad weather forced an overnight near the Montreal Airport and I picked Aloft because it was an inexpensive option in the same location as several other, pricier airport hotels. This one had the same colorful, "urban" contemporary styling of other Alofts and, although my room was on the ground floor, it was relatively quiet for being so close to the airport. I heard a couple of planes during the night, but no cars or guests. The room was clean and spacious and the bed comfortable. But the staff was simply splendid. They were quick to help, went out of their way to make sure I was settled in and comfortable. There's no restaurant, but the bar sells food and the young, female bartender went back into the kitchen to make me a fresh caesar salad and then went back in to bring out some edamame. They were clearly happy working at this hotel which speaks to a good management team. And in the morning, the shuttle arrived in five minutes and got us to the airport within about 12 minutes. It's a 3-star hotel, but quite nice nonetheless and good value for the money if you must stay out at the airport rather than in town.
