My brother and i spent 4 nights at this hotel. The hotel is close to a lot of restaurants. All the staff were very friendly, polite and very helpful in answering all our questions. The hotel itself is clean with nice modern decor. Our room was clean and spacious. Also, the free continental breakfast was very enjoyable. There was a good assortment of pastries, breads and cheeses, and also some really good fruit salad. I would highly recommend this hotel, and would definitely stay there again.

Lot of things make this hotel one of our favorites:
- Location: in Old Montreal, surrounded by beautiful old architecture and very nice boutiques
- Interior architecture: our room in particular was very nice: on the top floor, almost like a studio apartment (check photo)
- Staff: extremely friendly (which seems to be a trait shared by many Canadians)
- Free bicycles! The staff told us about them when we wanted to go visit Safdie's Habitat 67 architectural marvel (20 min bike ride)
- On the negative side, it can get a bit rowdy outside on a week-end night, but bearable

We booked Le Petit Hotel based on input on Trip Advisor. Excellent recommendation and hotel. Very convenient to Old Montreal and close walk to Metro station for easy travel around Montreal. Hotel is very upscale and rooms are well appointed. Beds are extremely comfortable. Bathrooms are very nicely done and showers are amazing. Continental breakfast is everything you need for a great start to the day.

Every interaction with the hotel staff was very positive. They go out of their way to make sure they meet your every need and answer any question you may have. We had an issue with our room safe on arrival and after they tried to reprogram it, it would still not work. They quickly removed the safe and replaced it with one that was working properly.

Based on input from TA, I requested a quiet room and they granted our request. We were at the back of the hotel in a very quiet and spacious room.

I would not hesitate to recommend our stay at this hotel again. Great spot!

Room Tip: Request a quiet room preferably in the back of the hotel.

Went for last Christmas vacation and had great experience with the accommodation and service. Only hiccup was a not correctly functioning heating system but when I made a complaint to the management after the trip, they refunded the valet parking fees for the trip. The concierge is great but I would recommend a door man service because there is just no room to pull over the car in the front to load or unload luggages.... Especially when it snows... And there is no fitness center on site... Unfortunately...

Realizing that Old Montreal is a prime location, we still felt the hotel put on unnecessary airs. It was as if we were staying at a country club for insiders and didn't know the customs. We paid a pretty price and were alienated rather than pampered. Parking is at a remote location, but there is no signage to explain as you arrive. Though we were upgraded to a medium room, it was still small. There were lots of signs about how much various amenities cost - tacky and not relaxing. Something was missing.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights for our 35th anniversary and our first trip to Montreal. We selected it on the basis of TripAdvisor reviews and were not disappointed.

Despite the narrow, old Montreal street, pulling up to the reserved spot in front to unload was easy and smooth. We left our car with the valet, as we did not intend to drive around the city, but could have had it fetched for us any time we wanted.

Our room on the first floor in the back (105) was well-appointed, quiet, and very comfortable. The bed was large and comfy, the TV huge, and the bathroom and shower were great. Despite the thick walls, we had no trouble with the Wifi. There was no view from our window beside the alley, but that didn't matter to us - it was a quiet and private spot. They serve a nice continental breakfast off the lobby all morning (included in price) and there is someone there to attend to any needs or special orders for coffees or juices. Regular coffee and all kinds of special-order coffees are available, as well as cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit salad, croissants, and a variety of small pastries.

The staff are outstanding - Sophie, Carlos, and others are cheerful, friendly, and helpful. They made reservations for us at two restaurants (Holder and Laloux, both excellent) and gave us many other good recommendations. The hotel is located in a great spot, surrounded by lots of restaurants, a stone's throw from Notre Dame, and close to all the sights of old Montreal.

Check in and check out were a snap. We would definitely stay there again.

We stayed over Memorial day. Hotel located on one of the oldest streets of Montreal St.Paul. 2-3 minutes walk to Notre-Dame Basilica. One block from hotel to museum of Archaeology. There is gray line bus stop by same museum to explore the city by going on tour bus.
Le petit hotel is very clean, queit, beds are awesome, shower pressure is great. Bathroom has real hair dryer. Stuff is great and free breakfast is yammy and wonderful.
Book le petit hotel with confidence.
