We just spent 3 nights here and it was great. The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful especially the girls at the front desk. They always greeted us cheerfully, suggested restaurants to try, sights to see and made bookings for us. The waiters were professional and attentive as well. The Bonaparte is perfectly situated on the edge of the Old Town and within 3 blocks of lots of restaurants, shops and cafes. There is wi-fi as well as a lobby computer for guest's use. The rooms are a nice size, clean and comfortable. We had a 5th floor room overlooking the street and never were bothered by street noise. Breakfast, included in the cost, had lots of choices and was served in a beautiful dining room that is a busy, well reviewed restaurant at night. There is free coffee and tea all day including to your room. This is an excellent boutique hotel that is well run and a value for the $179 per night we paid. AAA discount. Book as soon as you can as it is very popular and fills up early. We enjoyed dinner at Barroco, two blocks away and the view and drinks at the rooftop outdoor patio bar atop the Nelligan Hotel, 3 blocks away. Other meals were at various restaurants in the Old Town and were uniformly good. Like everywhere else these days Canada seemed expensive to us Americans, about a 25% premium, and especially the 17% tax on EVERYTHING!

Room Tip: Book early and ask for discount, AAA etc.

Booked room facing street Rue Francoise Xavier as better price. On 5th floor serviced by elevator. Good choice hot beakfast included. Nice small roof sun deck to enjoy a BYO beverage. No mini fridge but ice machine 6th floor. In old town 5 minute walk to Notre Dame Basilica, 15-17 min to China Town or Jacque Cartier Place. Excellent restaurant @ $$$ prices, 3 course $30, 5 - $ 55, 6 course degustation $ 66 sublime!!

We chose Auberge Bonaparte based on the raving reviews on Trip Advisor. We stayed with family for 5 nights while on vacation, and it was possibly the best place we have ever stayed in all our travels so far! The staff were very friendly, helpful and always available. Adeline especially and the hotel supervisor, Anne-Marie were both very sweet. The rooms were nice, comfortable and quiet. The best part was its great location in Old Montreal. Easy access to everything. As mentioned in previous reviews, the breakfast is superb and included in the price! My kids loved the breakfast. They have never really enjoyed the breakfast in the other places that we have stayed in the past.

We left the hotel at 5 am this morning to catch our early morning flight. Rimad, who was the night staff was so nice to prepare breakfast for all of us at 4.30 am!!!!! We were so impressed by the service, that I decided to write this review promptly on our return today. We would definitely stay at Auberge Bonaparte, and I recommend this place very highly. You will not be disappointed!

Loved the location, in Old Montreal and just around the corner from the Basilica of Notre Dame. Loved the room! My son and I traveled to Quebec as his pre-moving-away-from-home trip, and he had a great time also! The restaurant is fabulous, and the desk staff are incredibly nice and helpful - I've never been to a hotel with such nice desk staff! It was a great home base for our visit to Montreal, and I'd love to stay there again if I ever get back to that great city!

I stayed at the Auberge Bonaparte with my 10 year old son. It was his first trip to Montreal, and the first time I've stayed at a "boutique" hotel in this city. We found the Auberge Bonaparte to be centrally located, with very good service and good value. We recommend the restaurant highly for food quality and friendly service. We would easily stay there again.

We stayed at the Auberge Bonaparte for 5 nights during the first week of June. Our room was comfortable and very quiet. The hotel staff was unfailingly friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious--probably the best breakfast we have ever had at a B and B.
The restaurant is high quality (though a bit pricey). The location was perfect for touring
purposes. And the computer was consistently available so we could check email. We give Auberge Bonaparte our highest rating and we would definitely return.

Stayed here after a cruise. We checked in early; so the room wasn't quite ready for us. Went out to lunch and our bags were already in our room. Excellent restaurant recommendations. In the heart of Old Montreal. Our room had a a great terrace with nice views of Old Montreal.
