We just spent 3 nights here and it was great. The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful especially the girls at the front desk. They always greeted us cheerfully, suggested restaurants to try, sights to see and made bookings for us. The waiters were professional and attentive as well. The Bonaparte is perfectly situated on the edge of the Old Town and within 3 blocks of lots of restaurants, shops and cafes. There is wi-fi as well as a lobby computer for guest's use. The rooms are a nice size, clean and comfortable. We had a 5th floor room overlooking the street and never were bothered by street noise. Breakfast, included in the cost, had lots of choices and was served in a beautiful dining room that is a busy, well reviewed restaurant at night. There is free coffee and tea all day including to your room. This is an excellent boutique hotel that is well run and a value for the $179 per night we paid. AAA discount. Book as soon as you can as it is very popular and fills up early. We enjoyed dinner at Barroco, two blocks away and the view and drinks at the rooftop outdoor patio bar atop the Nelligan Hotel, 3 blocks away. Other meals were at various restaurants in the Old Town and were uniformly good. Like everywhere else these days Canada seemed expensive to us Americans, about a 25% premium, and especially the 17% tax on EVERYTHING!
