I went there with my daughter and a buddy, lots of steps to climb. A must see, great view and important history about the Catholic religion in Montreal

“Elegant and beautiful”
Reviewed 5 August 2014

This was my 2nd second visit to the St Joseph's Oratory. In Canada, you cannot easily visit such amazing place within a big city like Montreal. This should be one of the 'cannot-miss' attractions of Montreal, whether you are religious or not. I am not religious but I can fully appreciate the spirit and tranquilly of this place. You will enjoy the history and the architecture of St Joseph's Oratory.

“Inspirational!!!”
Reviewed 5 August 2014

When your in Montreal, this place is a must-go. Read up on this place before and the history and it will make it that much more amazing. A lot of stairs and walking. Also I think now you have to pay for parking or getting in, but goes to a good cause. Amazing views and gardens. Also there is a big gift shop but keeping with the religious aspect, if you cant find it, ask !!!!

Not super special inside, but very impressive to see from the outside and lovely view from the top of the stairs.

“Impressive”
Reviewed 4 August 2014

We didn't have time to actually go inside, but the grounds are amazing! I was overwhelmed seeing it for the first time and its size and grandeur. Great place to stop and take some photos!

Be warned there are LOTS of stairs!!
