“Nice architecture”
Reviewed 11 June 2014

Nice architeture. Interesting to visit. It is more or less in the midle of others "modern" buildings, so it kind of make this more interesting.

“Wonderful cathedral”
Reviewed 9 June 2014

I love visiting here for the church, the decorations and for the services. Well worth at least half and hour outside of a Mass.

“Historic Montreal Cathedral”
Reviewed 29 May 2014

This elegant old lady needs a little TLC but is worth a visit. Many bishops and cardinals are buried here...one being the great Paul-Emile Cardinal LEGER (first winner of The Pearson Award and brother of noted provincial politician Jules Leger).

“Churches”
Reviewed 29 May 2014

I found it very large and empty and was not at all impressed with this church. For such a large church it was rather disappointing.

“Beautiful Tour (free and on my own!)”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

The City bus from the PET airport cost only $10.00 and dropped me off in front of this beautiful Cathedral where I spent 1 1/2 hrs. touring; no charge for entrance & staff are wonderful (with accessible bathroom!); the art work and stained glass deserve your time & (free) brochure on the history of this beautiful structure are available in English or French; the prayer chapel had a number of people come & go while I was there despite it being lunch time etc.; 2 people were deep in sleep with noone disturbing them (they were not together) so nice to see that compassion rules...it is a smaller version of St. Peter's in Rome and worth the effort to visit and "feel" the atmosphere and ancientness - as nice as any in Europe and well maintained.
