I got a queen-size bedroom on 10th floor. Got a good deal off of Hotwire.

The room is just clean enough not to go ballistic. But, it could be alot better. The ammenities, such as bath, toilet, sink are somewhat old, but funtion good enough.

On a normal purchase, this room shouldn't be rented out for more than 100$.

But, hotel is ideally located in the eastern part of downtown and has a subway station integrated to it.

I like the inside the room. It's cozy and warm. One thing they should offer is refrigerator. It's not very convenient for me not having a refrigerator in my room. They have six elevators but only two are operating. Therefore, it takes time when going up and down not to mention there are many people waiting the same elevator with you at the same time. I live on the 20th floor which provides me a great view. I can see the building across the street still lighting up after 12:00am. Pretty good experience.

I would definitely go back to this hotel. Considering the reasonable pricing and it only being 3.5 stars, the lobby was nice and the checkin and checkout service was very quick. There were 4 elevators so you never needed to wait for one to arrive. The rooms were clean although they did need a makeover because some of the furniture was a bit old looking.
The washroom would be my only complain because the tub looked old and the fan was way too loud. The lighting in the room was great, especially in the washroom area.
The really good thing about the hotel was that everything was literally walking distance. There were quite a few restaurants around and you didn't have to pay any cab fees to go around.

P.s to all those going to party, there was a 1 min walking distance after hours club right beside the hotel.
Overall loved it!

Room Tip: As for one with a view of the mountain, I loved being able to see the city.

Some of the reviews here appear to be scary. This is a great hotel with a superb location. And a great value. The hotel fronts Set Catherine St and plenty of eateries, bistros and bars. Not a "sketchy" neighborhood at all but yeah there are street people and a colorful mix. It is a big city. A block away is the Metro Berri/UQAM station where all the lines converge. Parking is a bit pricey, $19.50c a day. The hotel lobby is elegant. The rooms are clean and com my and we had a great view. Free wifi and the signal was lightning fast. Yeah the TV set is old technology they need new flat screens and better electronics. We paid $70/night total on Hotwire and they treated us like royalty. I'll come back here again for sure.

The hotel is a little dated and the complimentary breakfast is basic but for $16 more you can add a buffet breakfast. McDonalds across the street would be less expensive. The room was clean and tidy but our main complaint was the slowness of the internet connection. Dial up would have been faster!

Room smelled of smoke, could definitely use an update, very plain bare-bones decor, various stains on carpet and furniture, chip out of sink that they attempted to repair but didn't do a good job, tub liner that doesn't quite fit, old-school Zenith TV... no huge issues but also nothing remarkable. Not sure that this qualifies as 3-star. Park across the street generally features many homeless people, and is possibly known as a pickup park. For somewhere to sleep it's fine.

Booked through Hotwire. Is not what you'd expect from a 3-star hotel in the U.S. Rooms are old but clean. Location is good and close to the metro to go anywhere you want, as well as to the airport bus.

I left a jacket hanging in the closet and though I didn't realize it for a week or more, no one from the hotel ever attempted to contact me about it. I didn't ask for it back because I figured the price to ship it back would be more than the value.
