Good location, within walking distance of the Palais des Congres and Rue Ste-Catherine, and a short distance away from the river. Rooms clean even if the interiors have not been updated in a while - you can see they have been through the grind. Unimpressive lobby, and you need an elevator ride to get in and out of the hotel. Staff were professional. Breakfast the standard fare.

I don't have a lot to comment on the hotel. It was what you expect in a Hyatt. The rooms were a good size and were clean. The towels the first day were super fluffy and nice, the second day not as nice. Staff was nice. We were there for a meeting and I will say that the hotel is like a maze - hard to find things (hint - two sets of elevators lead to two different "5th floors" (one up and one down from the main level). Good location, easy to get to on the 747 bus from the airport, the stop is about 1 block walk away from the entrance.

As for noise, it wasn't the best, but not the worst I have been in. I was on the 11th floor and I could easily hear loud music from the plaza below and some noise from the room next to me. It would have been annoying if I had to go to bed early with the outside noise which went fairly late into the night. It was a problem for our conference where one conference room was by these beautiful windows overlooking the plaza. Too bad it was hard to hear the speakers over the outside noise...

I think it is slightly underrated on other reviews. I found the location outstanding, service and rooms quite nice and worthy of a four star hotel. I agree that I wouldn't eat or drink there unless on your company's dime (but then again that is true for most upscale hotels). The weird entrance on the third floor and lobby on the sixth was a little annoying, even more so when the un-airconditoned elevator heated up to about 90 degrees in the Montreal summer heat and humidity. Other than that I would say for their standard rates of over $200 a night it is not quite worth it (though many upscale hotels in Montreal seem to be that way) but if you can get it for ~ $150 a night on some dates/sites, I think it is a solid value four-star downtown hotel.

It is a fine, professionally run, chain hotel. With one or two exceptions the staff are not very personal or warm. But it is expensive (and the Canadian pricing system where you are never quoted the actual price, just the pre(substantially) taxed rate) means that your bill will come as a real shock.
Do NOT drink in the hotel bar. The prices are extortionate! A glass of wine will cost you TWICE what it costs in the bar just next door.
Breakfasts are also too dear. You can save up to 50% simply by eating in the food court underneath the hotel.
I was there for business (ie I was not paying) and I really liked it. If it was my money I would have checked out with no hard feelings after day 1

I came with a large group here in my way to Quebec City and we stayed one night here. The location could not be beat.....we were able to walk to just about everything and see the very best parts of the great city of Montreal. The hotel was attached to a very nice mall as well.

The rooms were comfortable and clean. The service was top notch and the fitness center was very decent for a hotel.

Only complaint - Wifi is not free here and was actually
quite expensive.

I would stay here again.

What more could you ask for? When traveling I look for location, price, comfy beds, clean rooms, nice staff and I got everything with this hotel. Perfect for me.

The dining options are endless, all within walking distance either in the shopping centre or down the street.

Room Tip: I asked for an upper floor room. It was very quiet, clean and comfortable.

A recent conference venue for a vocational forum. Very good location in central Montreal with pleasant facilities for the conference.

Handy to the Des Jardins shopping centre and excellent restaurants in close proximity.

Accommodation was very comfortable and clean.
