Just went here for a concert - November 2005. We drove over 6 hours to see Andrew Bird and were disappointed because there was limited seated - 4 tables in the back and the floor was level and therefore you were unable to see anything. Even about three rows back, your view was quite obstructed. We finally gave up and just went to the back of the room where we found stacks of chairs which we sat on top of to try to actually see the band.

Additionally, the bass from the dance club above (part of Cafe Campus) was pounding through the music of the band. It was really annoying. But Andrew Bird was still amazing.

When we left there was a long line to get in to the dance club portion of Cafe Campus, so people seemed to be happy with that.

My friend and I moved to Montreal for 8 months because we heard that it was Canada's best party city and we heard right. Cafe Campus was by far the best place to go, the beer is cheap the people arent stuck up, and the women. CafCam as we've grown to know boasts the best looking McGill girls of anywhere, and they're not that hard to approach or even do more with. Cafe Campus and the things that went on after Cafe Campus are by far my favorite memories of Montreal. P.S. If Greg's still working the door be cool and give him a "salut".

If you've never been to Cafe Campus on a tuesday night your defintly missing out. Its one of the best parties in montreal. Its always bound to be a good night ( but watch out : don't make too many plans the next day.) The musics great ( they always play madonna's "like a prayer" @ midnight), the beers cheap ($6 pitchers) and the crowd is fun ( some hot french boys). It's pretty hard to have a bad night here on a tuesday. Make sure you get there early though. There's normally a fairly long line.

Cafe Campus... what can one say. Once you get past the line at the door, the interior is filled with energetic drinking amusement that never seems to end. Surprisingly enough it takes longer to get your coat checked than to purchase a pictcher... not bad in my opinion. But if you are going to go, Tuesday is definately the night to go... oldies... beer... people... dancing...
