“Consistent quality in Montreal”

Have been staying in this hotel (since my Dad took me the first time) since 1968.

A unique property in the centre of the city on the 6th floor with a all year round pool and gardens.

Although the rooms are not anything spectacular, the service and quality is very consistent.

The Hilton honors lounge serves some great appetizers and wines as well as a FULL breakfast and spring through fall breakfast in the terrace.

Thanks for a great stay

My wife and I are spending a few weeks at the Hilton Bonaventure - we are 1/2 way through and what a WONDERFUL property !!! The room, excellent - the staff, superb - the location, can not get any better - but most of all - The Bonaventure Club - now there is a gem !!! To the frequent traveler, the nicest of all perks beyond the recognition of being a loyal guest is how we are treated... and the Bonaventure Club sets a new standard for us. We have traveled all over the world and have been impressed with many clubs particularly in Europe. But at this property, they set a new bar ! What makes it special - three components - The food of course is tops !!! Compliments to the chef and those who make the menu !!! The facility itself, new, airy, modern and has the capacity to handle a good sized crowd. But it is the staff that makes this the winning team. Guy, Emma, and the rest of the team (we don't remember all the names) are our heros !!! From day one we felt welcomed, at home, and like part of a family... very personable and warm ... THANK YOU for the wonderful stay, and, the attention !!! This is our property of choice in Montreal.

Room Tip: All rooms have a few stairs to get to them - but - there are some rooms for folks with limited capab...

Second stay there with kids. Again excellent service and the hotel is clean an quiet. Very convenient to get to Montreal's attractions. The pool is nice and heated. We would definitely stay there again while in Montreal.

Room Tip: Lots of stairs with a stroller would require a room accessible by elevator

We reserved here for the rooftop heated pool, which we loved. And the location was really perfect. But hotel felt old and dark (but clean). Concierge staff wasn't super - once they sent us to a restaurant that was closed. Bell staff and valet service staff were really great though.

Thank you for your comment. I'm sorry to read that you found your stay rather average. It seems to be mainly caused by the ambiance and by the décor of our hotel which you expected to be different. Our 'brutalist' architectural style is quite unique and it was built in 1967 by an architect named Raymond T Affleck. We were actually built to resemble a fortress! It can surprise some guests if they didn't expect that.

Please accept my sincerest apologies for the erroneous information our concierge gave you. I can imagine your frustration upon arriving to a closed restaurant. I am rather surprised this occurred because they are usually very thorough. Not knowing which restaurant and which date the incident occurred, I will not be able to verify if that was a last minute change by the restaurant or not, but please be assured that I will work with the concierge team to ensure that they always double check the information before they give it out.

I am very glad that you loved our outdoor heated pool, our location and also that you found our hotel clean. I appreciate the kind words you wrote about the bell staff and valet service staff. We hope that you will consider us again for a future visit!

What a nice week end at this hotel... very clean quiet and beautiful !! restaurant and bar were great...well situated and the staff were so nice...you should ask Mike at the front desk !! pool was wonderful and the terrass was so beautiful...

Hotel is in a great location for access and has a great setting by being on the top floors of the office tower. Heated all year around pool is a nice bonus. I have stayed here many times for business.
Rooms however aren't consistent - all should have robes and slippers but this is hit or miss. some are renovated some aren't. rooms to the left of reception seem more consistent than those to the right (ie past the pool, and the restaurant) are the ones that are the most hit or miss.
don't count on the hotel shop to be of use to business travellers - they don't open before 9am and attendant is frequently away from the store 'for 10 minutes' (so no access) post 6pm. Free bottled water comes with the room however you must go to this store to get it - not sure why they have set it up this way.

Room Tip: for more consistency ask for room in section that is to the left of the reception desk

Thank you for your feedback and for your ongoing loyalty. Please note that bathrobes and slippers are only in the upgraded rooms in specific sections of our hotel. Whenever possible, we upgrade Hilton Honors members like yourself to above standard room types that offers extra amenities in it.

All our guestrooms were renovated in a 12-18 months time frame and they shouldn't feel too different. Should you notice something that you prefer (or dislike), please do not hesitate to have a quick chat with our Guest Service Manager at the desk about your preferences. These could be noted in your file for your future stays. It will help us ensure that you have enjoyable experiences with us.

I have shared your comment with the lady that runs the store and I apologize for the lapses in service. Your comments help us improve.

Great location and inviting setting. The staff put this hotel over the top. All were extremely helpful giving directions,finding free shuttle service to the Rodgers Cup,locating excellent Bistro on Laurier,giving perfect seating and menu offerings and service for lunch and breakfast at the Hotel. The outdoor setting was extremely relaxing and the staff made you feel very welcomed.
The room was comfortable but could have had more toiletries for 2 adults. Especially helpful were Genevieve at the concierge desk and Carolyn at the restaurant. Both were professional, friendly, great diplomates for the Hotel.
Suggestion better signage in English and French in locating the reception area from street level
I would recommend this hotel which is also very family friendly
