Location is good, close to most attractions especially old town montreal; rooms were spacious with good room and bathroom accessories; staff were helpful. Downside: wifi is not complimentary and parking for guests starts 9 levels below the ground (the upper 8 are either reserved or for those who have monthly passes)

We stayed at the InterContinental Hotel for 3 nights. The Concierge found a great private tour guide for us which was only a little more money than if we had joined a large group tour. She also advised us on some wonderful places to eat. The hotel is beautiful and in walking distance of many tourist sights and fine restaurants.

Room Tip: I don't have any advice for choosing a room since the entire hotel seems to be so insulated that...

This hotel is in a great location on the border of old Montreal and downtown. Subway stations (Place D'armes and Square Victoria) are pretty close, and if you want you don't even need to go outside to get to them! Check in was very fast, staff seemed friendly although didn't have much of an interaction with them. Rooms are a good size with a decent view. Bathroom was excellent with a tub and a speaker on the ceiling that would allow you to listen to the tv which was pretty nice. Beds I found just OK- a bit firm but could just be my personal preference.

If the price was right, I would stay again!

Our stay was comfortable. The rooms were well appointed and spacious. Our room had a large bathroom with a bath and a separate shower. Breakfast was a buffet breakfast with a good selection of hot and cold food. Access to an indoor mall from the hotel. Access to all rooms via an escalator and lifts. Has own restaurant and bar. Staff very helpful.

Parking was far away and expensive. Lobby was cold and gloomy. Room was ok but noisy ventilation. TV only received a handful of stations. There are plenty of better choices out there. The location in Old Montreal was nice with many shops and restaurants to chose from. Hotel restaurant/bar was nice and friendly

Room Tip: Upper floor away from hall traffic

This is another class act from the Intercontinental group, with beautifully appointed, stylish rooms, first class bathroom amenities, excellent service and wonderful views. The staff were warm, friendly and ultra-helpful - all of which amounts to a very pleasant stay in this very chic city.

Stayed for one night while visiting Montreal with friends. I chose the hotel partly because of location and partly because I am an IHG member. The experience was excellent from arriving, valet parking, room, location - everything. We had a group of six wanting dinner and the concierge made recommendations to suit our preference - she reserved the restaurant and it proved to be exactly as described. The room was perfect, on the 21st floor and the view was very good. All of the fixtures, fittings, bathroom etc were in perfect condition and the bed was very comfortable. Our friends visited the gym in the morning and we visited the pool. The pool is long and narrow and perfect for laps when there are only two people there - not sure what it would be like if it was more busy. There is a sauna and steam room but it is in the change-room and so sex specific. There is a coffee shop at ground level and we had breakfast there - very casual and great coffee. The only niggling point was that when we were checking in there was only one staff member on the desk and a number of parties to check in so it took about 20 mins. The staff (all of them) were very friendly - I just felt that at this hotel they should not have a long line of people waiting to check in.

Room Tip: Higher is better for a view.
