“Perfect location between downtown and Old Montreal”
Reviewed 20 July 2014

We stayed for two nights and it was a very comfortable stay. The interiors had pretty impressive decor and furniture, and the room was spacious. The breakfast buffet at Osco! is highly recommended too. The staff were professional and all bilinguals (English and French). If you are looking for a hotel close to convenience of downtown and beauty of Old Montreal, then this is a great hotel for you.

Room Tip: Ask for the one with the street view of Saint Antoine Street.

We stayed at the Intercontinental early June for a conference which was taking place in the hotel itself so it was an ideal choice when deciding where to stay. The hotel lobby is a little dingy and dark and if there wasn't staff at the entrance to tell you where the reception is, there is a chance of getting a bit lost. Luckily , the staff is very helpful and there is always someone at the front door to guide you. The hotel's location is definitely a plus point- it is located minutes away from the Old Port, not very far from the main shopping street (St.Catherines) and is across the road from the Convention Centre which has some restaurants (the fast food kinds) and the train station.
Our room was very spacious and the bathroom was lovely and big.We had a view of the old Port area and could see the Notre Dame Basilica from our room! We had a Club room so our internet was free and we had access to the club where we got a nice breakfast and happy hours ! The bartender in the Club was extremely friendly and every evening we had a nice chat with him about India . Felt like home!
We stayed about 4 nights and were very pleased with everything about the hotel and would definitely recommend it further!

I loved the InterContinental. It was the main destination of a road trip from Maryland to Montreal and it didn't disappoint. The place was beautiful, the rooms were spacious and we had an incredible view of the St. Lawrence river. It was an easy walk to Notre Dame and Old Town. For destinations farther away the subway station is close and was easy to navigate. The cafe located at the street level made one of the best cafe mochas I've ever had and the restaurant was great for both a wonderful breakfast buffet and a very yummy dinner (the wait staff was wonderful - we had the same server for 2 days of breakfast and he made the morning more personable).

Stayed at the hotel for a conference that was happening across the street at the convention center. Hotel is nice and staff are fantastic. Rooms were clean and inviting. Restaurants in the hotel were reasonably priced. There is a cafe located on the ground floor for those wanting to eat outside the hotel restaurants. Old Montreal is 10 min walk away and there are plenty of places to eat there.

Room Tip: Have a room that 'faces outside'

Spent a night at this hotel for our 10th wedding anniversary in July 2014. We upgraded the room to the tourelle suite, very nice upgrade. The room was very spacious with a separate living area. Great view over Montreal. The room was overall clean with quality furniture and bedding. Service was good everywhere; front desk and lounge. The only down side I would say the bathroom needs updated. Hotel location is great; 10 min walk from old Montréal and 5 minutes from Ste-Catherine street. Also very close to the Jazz festival location.

Room Tip: Tourelle suite is great

Booked this hotel online at a very reduced rate. The location is perfect for restaurants, train, harbour front, shops in the heart of old Montreal. Service and friendliness of staff was like no other. Accommodated all my request big or small without hesitation or that I was causing an issue. Would highly recommend this hotel and would come again.

Everything is within walking distance. The Old Port is about 3/4 mile away, main shopping area about the same distance. Service was good. Try to get a package with breakfast included as they are expensive but good.
Niggle that wifi is free in lobby but chargeable in rooms-so unnecessary and cheap.
