Anyone stating here needs to understand that this is a very basic, older hotel. We stayed here for 3 nights to visit the city area of Montreal. Had a one room with shared bath (3 bathrooms for 10 rooms on our floor). Bathrooms were kept very clean and no issues with getting in. Room was cleaned dailly and new towels provided. There are no elevators so you need to be able to carry your laugage up stairs (3rd floor for us). The bed was futon like, just a thin mattres over a platform. Hotel is centrally located with 2 Metro stations nearby and most of downtown within walking distance. The biggest drawback to this hotel is outside the owners control and that is the noise from outside. Lots of street noise. There are several night clubs in the area and these can be very loud, especially on the Firday night we stayed. It was cool when we stayed so we could sleep with the window close, cutting down on some of the sound. In summer it might be a different thing. I would probbly not stay here again if I came back to Montreal but it is an economic way to stay in the downtown area
