I had a very good overall experience.
The service at front desk, concierge, etc. was quick and knowledgeable...it was excellent.
The location is excellent, right downtown, close to the Train station.
Good mattress.
The only negative comment I have is about the size of the room. The room was a bit on the small size and outdated comparing to other hotels I stayed. It was uncomfortable to move around if the bathroom door or the closet doors were opened.
I will stay there again.

There was a problem with the washroom,it was handled it a profesional manner. The staff were very help full. If you have a problem tell them promptly it will be taken care off immediately.Very good when traveling by train.

Room Tip: All are suitable in my expierence.

Great location, excellent service with very accommodating staff. A must stay when in Montreal, especially for business. Very impressive facilitities catering for all interests. Loved the fitness centre and very impressed with staff who were always helpful and pleasant, going out of their way to ensure comfort .

This hotel has obviously seen better days in the past, but is now in urgent need of some updating. From the moment you enter the lobby you are greeted by these worn out carpets and furniture. This is obviously disappointing considering the standards of Fairmont hotels I am used to in the Middle East. The guest rooms are of a good size, but again the furniture is old, and the décor very dated. The curtains were dirty, have probably not been cleaned in many years. It was not all negative though. I ordered room service twice. The food was good and the staff were very pleasant. I was there for a congress. The conference facilities are surprisingly very good. The location of the hotel is also very central, so it is very easy to walk around the city. St Catherine's street is very close by, with all the shops and restaurants.
Overall I had a good stay. One more thing. The rooms are not well insulated. Noise from other rooms pass right through. On the first night, I was kept awake for several hours by a couple in another room.

Join the Presidents club for even greater help and extras. The staff were always polite friendly and extremely helpful. It is my second trip to Canada where I have experienced the service that I expect from the Fairmont group of Hotels.

Arrives very late after a flight from Calgary and was pleasantly surprised that I got an upgrade to the Gold level. Room was spacious, clean and had a great view up to McGill college. Very centrally located and could walk to my meetings (must have been the first warm day of the year). Free breakfast comes with the Gold level and for that it had a good selection and again great view over Montreal. Staff are friendly and efficient. Would stay again as it's also good value for money when it stayed.

I was looking forward to my stay but severely underwhelmed with the quality of service at this hotel. I arrived by taxi and no doorman to help with luggage, then the front doors had no automated entry so after struggling with my bags i made it in, the check in staff where cold and unfriendly, gave me my keys, and thats it. I had to ask were the elevators are and had a feeling that I imposed on the front staff's busy day for asking !!
the rest of the stay followed suit, I ordered breakfast room service, and it was wrong, the rooms are tiny, the tv channels are all french and basic of basic cable, no US channels, alarm was low tech device that i could not program from 20 years ago that I didn't even feel like touching due to the dirt on it, only found two power outlets in the room, room was too hot or too cold, the setup of the bathroom is in my opinion unhygienic because of the size/proximity from toilet to sink.
However the location and the gym are excellent and the dining is excellent
