We stayed at au GitAnne b & b in Montreal for a week during May 2014. It was our first trip to Montreal. Our host, Anne, was exceptional in every way. Her expert local knowledge helped make our stay such a pleasure. She asked a few questions of us and very quickly assessed our likes and dislikes coming up with suggestions of where to go and what to do. We can honestly say that we saw far more of Montreal due to Anne’s astute suggestions based on what she thought we’d enjoy. Each morning, Anne had a list of possible attractions ready for us from local sights, cultural locations and landmarks, to superb restaurants and great music venues.
Anne’s home is striking: funky and individual, it is spotlessly clean, comfortable and bright, and beautifully furnished reflecting her warm personality. Her breakfasts are delicious and her attentiveness to every detail of our comfort and enjoyment was a real treat for newcomers like us. I highly recommend Au Git Anne. It is one of the best B & Bs we’ve stayed at, and we will definitely return if we are fortunate enough to go back to Montreal.
Just fantastic, Anne, well done and thankyou for giving us such a great memory of Montreal to take home to Australia! There was not a single thing that could have been better. Montreal is very lucky to have you as its local ambassador.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Picasso room which was gorgeous but I'm sure the standard is the same for all r...

We stayed for 3 nights in the Picasso room on the second floor. There was a living room and small kitchen on our floor. The entire house was very clean. Even when you walked on the wooden floors in your bare feet, it felt very clean. The bed and breakfast was on a very quiet street. You would never know you were in the center of the city. The Bed and Breakfast was a short 5 minute walk to the subway. We were able to park free on the same street at the Bed and Breakfast. Anne was a great host telling us so much about the history and culture of Montreal. Also she gave us great advise on restaurants and places to visit. Anne also mapped out our itinerary for each day. I would highly recommend staying at the Au GitAnn B & B.

First and foremost, the location of this B&B is really nice, which is located in the city center, closing to the metro station and greyhound. Secondly, the room is clean and colorful. The bed is soft and cozy. You can use the kitchen and cook by yourself. Then, beautiful Anne is really a kind host. She will give you some recommendation about the scenery spots and the direction. Generally, it's a nice place to stay.

We stayed at this B&B in the ‘l’Endormeuse’ room in the beginning of July. We really liked our stay. We were able to cook by ourselves and the room was very cosy and clean. The location is really central. We could walk to the old city and otherwise we could take a train or subway to other places, like the Mont Royal or the JazzFestival! Anne was a really good hostess. She is friendly and really helpful. She told us a lot about Montreal and recommended the nicest places from her personal experience. When you look for a nice place to stay a few days in Montreal, we really recommend to stay in ‘au Gitann’.

We really enjoyed our stay in Montreal. It is a lovely City made all the more enjoyable with the help of our hostess, Ann. As we enjoyed our delicious continental breakfast each morning, she sat with us and helped us outline our day. She was very helpful providing maps, directions for the Metro, restaurant and tourist recommendations. She even moved our car making sure we did not get parking tickets! Her B&B has been recently renovated and is very colorful and clean. Our room was complete with a small balcony, hardwood floors, sitting area, desk, private bath and a comfortable bed. We will definitely go back the next time we are in Montreal!

I had a great time in Montreal, staying at the Au GitAnn B&B. The hostess Anne Messier was extremely kind and gracious to me upon my late arrival as well as throughout my stay. The room was comfortable and the home accessible from the Metro.
