This lovely boutique hotel is tucked away on Rue Saint Sulpice, just steps from the Notre Dame Cathedral and right in the heart of downtown Montreal. We drove up and a lovely valet offered to park our vehicle. The front desk staff was extremely friendly, and when we requested a room with a fireplace they were happy to oblige.

Our suite was clean and spacious, the bedroom nestled between the bathroom and the living room was intimate and cozy. The living room had a couch, an arm chair, the fire place and a work station. A definite plus to our room was having a kitchenette - the website describes it as a "galley kitchenette", I didn't know what that meant, I was pleasantly surprised to see an electric stove top, pots & pans, as well as dishes, cutlery and everything else you would need. To top this all off the maid service takes care of tiding it for you the next time they come in. Another great thing is that our room had a fantastic Nespresso maker which made for a delicious way to wake up in the morning!

The only "note to self" I will provide, is that the pillows aren't the greatest in terms of firmness (feather pillows). I should note however, that when we asked for a different kind of pillow the front desk was quick to switch them for us.

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a hotel with a perfect location, great amenities, and extremely helpful staff.

Room Tip: Try to get a higher floor, we were on the 3rd and could hear people partying on the street. Alternat...

My husband and I travelled to Montreal for a romantic getaway and could not have chosen a better hotel. We were warmly welcomed by the professional staff and were charmed by the stately facade of the hotel. The room was spacious, and we loved the seperate bedroom and extremely comfortable bed. With the doors closed it offered comfort, silence and was the ulitmate place to rest after all that walking around Old Montreal.

The living area was spacious and the furniture was comfortable for resting up for the next foray of fine dining, seeing the sites and of course shopping. The bathroom was spotless and hubby commented on how great the shower was.

I could live in the hotel, with the friendly and very helpful staff, spacious accommodation, lovely courtyard and primo location, you couldn't have it any better.

We look forward to our next stay the Le Sait-Suplice!

Le Saint-Sulpice Hotel is a quaint and warm hotel in the middle of Montreal's Old City. We were welcomed graciously by the reception staff in the stylish lobby. Our large room was divided by the sleeping area and the living area. The fireplace was a great addition and we made several fires during our stay. We found the rooms appointed nicely without anything superfluous. We didn't use any of the wine stocked in the room but did find a wine store just two blocks up St. Sulpice across from the Cathedral that was just perfect for grabbing a few bottles of wine for our stay. The L'Occitane products in the bath are a nice addition. The concierge recommended a fantastic restaurant for breakfast which we loved and is highly recommended - Olive and Gourmand. We also dined at Garde-Manger which is just a two minute walk from the hotel. We also were able to walk to The Village, the Science Center/Museum and to Cirque du Soleil. We did not try the off-site gym or spa although both were very close to the hotel.

Room Tip: Consider an internal courtyard room. There was a bit of street noise from the bars/pub outside of o...

My husband and I made our first trip to Montreal recently and stayed at Le Saint-Sulpice. We couldn't have asked for a better hotel. Staff were so friendly and very helpful, the location in Old Montreal is wonderful and our room was lovely. Such a quaint boutique style hotel with lots of historical features. They even gave us a free upgrade to a better suite which was a nice suprise. Close to great little shops and just a stone's throw from Notre Dame which had to be one of the highlights of our trip (next to Cirque de Soleil which is also just at the port and a close walk to the hotel). Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a great stay in Old Montreal.

We had a wonderful 3 night mini-vacay here and it was beyond great. The hotel staff needs to be commended for their courteous, warm and attentive service. Our room was gorgeous. The separate sleeping area made for a very restful stay. The bathroom and living room were large and comfy. L'occitane products are always lovely. This location is great. Really a great hotel with a wonderfully attentive staff.

Room Tip: All rooms are suites. We had one looking over the street which we loved because you could hear the g...

We booked a suite so that we would have extra room with our 2 girls (4 night stay). I didn't like the look of the other suite options in the same price range and area. This looked boutique-y & affordable. We were a little worried about Old Montreal being far from downtown and too touristy, but this area is the best! We felt like we were truly out of the country (USA) with the cobblestone streets, shops & great restaurants. Upon arrival we were upgraded to an Executive suite with fireplace, balcony, full kitchen & separate living area with pull out couch for the kids to use. Very clean, very spacious, great comfy bed, great shower & toiletries. Super-friendly helpful staff. Easy to get to anywhere from the location. Loved the Nespresso maker in the kitchen so much that I am buying one now. :)

Super quiet rooms.
