“A Nice Return”
Reviewed 8 November 2013

The location of Le Saint Sulplice in the Old Port is perfect and within walking distance to great sights, shopping and dining. The staff is pleasant. Although the suites were recently updated, they are looking worn. Management / Housekeeping Staff need to pay attention to the small details within the rooms (i.e., install a door stop on the back of the bathroom door to prevent the door handle from making a whole in the wall / patch the hole in the wall, replace the handle on the toilet). Asked for the sofa bed to be turned down and although there is 24 hour Housekeeping Staff, the request slipped through the cracks. Despite the lack of attention to small details, it was nice to return to Le Saint Sulplice.

Spent a weekend in Montreal and was very pleased to be in smack in the middle of Old Montreal, with the Cathedral practically next door.

Staff was pleasant, rooms were very clean and they have great toiletries (I hate traveling with bottles of shampoo, soap and lotions, so this has become somewhat important to me).

Definitely try the tea shoppe down the street. Will be back.

I travel to Montréal each year, typically staying for approximately 1-2 weeks. There was one hotel at which I always stayed--until this year. Based on excellent reviews, I booked a superior suite at Le Saint-Sulpice. The room was spacious, well-appointed, and very clean. I found the murphy bed in this type of room to be quite comfortable. All of the staff members I encountered were pleasant and helpful, both before and after arrival. The hotel's location is fabulous--in a beautiful area of Old Montréal and just a short walk from the metro, which is great for exploring the rest of the city. If similar pricing continues to be offered, I will have found my new hotel for my yearly visit! In fact, I was so impressed by Le Saint-Sulpice that I created a TripAdvisor account simply to leave them a review. You will not regret booking at this hotel.

This is probably my 800th (joke) stay at Le Saint-Sulpice. I wrote a review after my first time, but I'd like to update it. First of all, I am a local and have always booked through SniqueAway - now Jetsetter, so I've never paid full price. My husband and I use this hotel as our respite hotel (we have a special need's child) - sometimes we take a night off by ourselves, but this last time we came together - a rare treat! We had a busy day, so we checked in late. To our surprise, we were given the last room they had left, which was the Presidential Suite. There had been a party in the room previously, so the couch was wet and the cushions taken off to air dry, but this did not ruin our stay at all. There's another TV in the bedroom, so we used that one. Despite the cold, we enjoyed the view of the rooftop terrace and we would definitely book this room for a party one day.

As usual, I have nothing bad to say about this place. Their rooms are really nicely decorated, their soaps (Occitane) are wonderful, there are always enough towels and pretty much anything else you need. Spas are within walking distance or you can get services in your room. The hotel is very clean and always super quiet. Their beds are really lovely and the rooms are dark. I always sleep like a baby there. The valet services are excellent and quick.

It was also my birthday weekend, so it was a really relaxing time and a great surprise upgrade.

Room Tip: In the summer, ask for a room away from St-Sulpice street to avoid street noise.

Do yourself a favor and stay at Le Saint-Sulpice. I love this hotel for the wonderful service, rooms and location.
The hotel is quiet, steps from some incredible restaurants and I truly appreciate the bottle of water each night.
I cannot say enough about the staff - they are polite, helpful, pleasant. I look forward to seeing them each time I visit.

The rooms were great, location very convenient, but restaurant for breakfast was dreadful. Poor service and food was not good. I would have given a higher rating for service if the restaurant had been better.

Room Tip: The suites were lovely and ask for one on first floor overlooking the patio.
