“Le Saint-Sulpice Montreal-A real gem in Old Montreal”
Reviewed 24 April 2014

What a great find! My husband and daughter and I loved everything about it. The location is perfect, on a beautiful side street down the road from Notre Dame and walking distance to some great restaurants. The staff was very welcoming and the concierge services were excellent. A great value for our suite that looked out onto the street. Overall a wonderful experience and we will definitely return.

We were visiting from Toronto and stayed in one hotel for two days closer to the Bell Centre, then we found this place to stay one more night in old Montreal. We absolutely loved it... everything about it is fantastic. Its right in the heart of Old Montreal, walking distance to all the touristy places, the restaurant is fantastic the hotel room is different from anywhere I have stayed. This hotel gave you a European feel whereas the others outside of old Montreal made us feel like we were still in Toronto. If you need a place to stay for a good price, located in the middle of everything and a European feel I recommend staying here.

Over all our stay was great. The location is perfect. The room for the most part was great.
There were a couple of things that we noticed that we didn't like. There is a stove top and pots provided which we loved, but the sink is so small its difficult to wash the pot and plates. They also provide wine in the room for you to purchase. While I understand this, I wish they just put a note or something letting you know. It was in the way, it took up space in the mini fridge and the counter.
Some of the corners in the room need dusting. The shower was not great. It needs updating, it reminded me of a gym shower. I was shocked at the amount of mold in the shower. We did not mind the frosted glass between the bedroom/bath until one of us used it at night, the light from the bathroom woke the other one up, still not a huge deal and over all we liked the look.
The bedroom was a tight to get around to the other side of the bed and the door/ vanity area was a pain. These things were annoying but would not keep us from staying again. There were no useable plugs near the bed, just one near the vanity area. That was a problem.

We had a room with a balcony and fireplace. There were no chairs/small table outside which was a disappointment, but we guessed it was because of the weather. Maybe if we asked? I wish they had asked us when checking in maybe. The fireplace was nice, it does not give off heat.

They provide an umbrella which we needed, a nice touch. Over all the hotel was wonderful and we would recommend it and would love to stay again.

In the heart of Vieux Montreal Le St. Suplice was a first class experience from the moment I reserved to the moment we left. A welcoming environment with beautiful decor greeted us. The concierge services added special touches we were looking for. All the staff at the hotel were very attentive to our needs. Our suite was spectacular and extremely comfortable. All services were excellent including room service, housekeeping, front desk and valet parking. A perfect romantic weekend getaway.

Room Tip: Look for there weekend specials to get a fabulous suite at a reduced rate. Our suite was on the cour...

Very well located ! Footsteps from the Old Port. In december, it's a very romantic place to have a walk ! The rooms are very nice ! Very trendy and clean ! Unfortunately, not much parking spaces around, but it's always the same in bigger cities ! We would recommend !

I would recommend this hotel. The staff were welcoming, the suite was spacious and the location is excellent for tourists in the heart of Old Montreal. It is easy to walk or take transit to anywhere in the city. The staff were kind enough to let us have a late check-out. They are renovating at present, but took pains to inconvenience guests as little as possible.

Extraordinary Service and First Class Accommodations

Stayed here at a client's recommendation while on business in Montreal. Thank you client!!!! Had a wonderful experience starting with the super friendly parking valets and ending with an exceptional front desk staff that sincerely appeared to want to help you with anything you need!!! They have a business center with printing capabilities right from your room. The rooms are fresh, modern, and super clean. One tip - glass shower doors are so transparent that they can easily be forgotten about and bumped into (personal note). Otherwise the rooms are roomy and comfortable!

It's location on the grounds of the Basilica makes it centrally located to all the fun in Old Montreal. Steps from rue St-Paul and all the great restaurants. Its own Sinclair restaurant is a great and convenient place for dinner or just drinks and the terrace in season, is a blast!!!

Hunt for the pest prices online as the place commands a higher rate than some of the other hotels close by but whatever the rate, you will be satisfied and pleased! Also book early as I have had two occasions when I could not get a room at any price!!

Room Tip: Book Early
