“Beautiful Gardens”

These gardens are a treasure, both beautiful and educational. Don't miss the greenhouses with the different ecosystems and Bonsai trees. The Japanese, Chinese and Alpine Gardens are all special as well. The restaurant is great place to grab a beer or glass of wine and sit under the umbrellas after a long walk through the gardens.

“Nice, but still off-season???”
Reviewed 7 June 2014

We visited in very late May (almost June) and enjoyed our time, the Chinese gardens in particular were wonderful. Maybe it was the weather, but it seemed like a lot of areas were under construction, in progress, not much blooming, etc. We have been to many great gardens (Butchart, Keukenhof, Huntington) and this garden, although a pleasant way to spend a few hours, is not as amazing.

This was a very enjoyable place to visit. We especially enjoyed the featured greenhouse exhibits, and the Chinese and the Japanese gardens. An extra treat was the fragrance of the lilacs permeating the park since they were in full bloom.
