Really looked forward to visiting the gardens but was very disappointed once there. The Chinese garden was lovely but the rest were nothing to speak about.
I would not go back and I would not recommend to others.

We went to the gardens expecting something of extremely high quality given the high cost of entry. there was nothing outstanding at all. Most Gardens of this nature are free of charge.

There are better parks around the city which do not cost anything such as La Fontaine.

There are already many excellent reviews of the gardens. Let me just highlight a few points for us. We came in early June and were a little disappointed that the roses weren't out yet. However, the lilacs and tree peonies were in full bloom. It is clear they take care to have interest over the different months. The more you see of the garden, the more impressed we were by the thoughtfulness of it. A wide variety of things to see. We were surprised at how few people were there (which I am sure will change later in the summer). It is also very easy to get to from the metro. Definitely worth the trip if you are here over the summer. A highlight for us.

It was great! keep atleast a full day to visit. Bring a packed lunch and spend time in the garden. The Japanese and Chinese garden was great.

These gardens are a treasure, both beautiful and educational. Don't miss the greenhouses with the different ecosystems and Bonsai trees. The Japanese, Chinese and Alpine Gardens are all special as well. The restaurant is great place to grab a beer or glass of wine and sit under the umbrellas after a long walk through the gardens.
