“Warm hospitality and amazing artwork”

L'Hotel is an excellent hotel well located in Montreal's old city. The rooms were spacious and well appointed and the hotel's service was exceptional from the front desk, to the luggage service and the friendly helpful front desk staff. And the art work throughout the hotel was amazing. Highly recommend this hotel for your next Montreal visit.

A business associate recommended LHotel to us for our post-cruise stay. Can't say enough wonderful things about the place! First off, it was less than 1/2 mile away from where the ship docked, so we just walked!! Easy to find. We arrived at the desk by 9 a.m., and although our rooms weren't ready (check-in at 3 p.m.), the staff held our luggage & made arrangements for the Hop On/Hop Off tour for us. They handed us a map, made some suggestions re: dining and off we went! When we came back later in the day to check-in, we were absolutely "WOWed" by the room and all the artwork! Extremely clean and very, very comfortable rooms. The continental breakfast was fresh and replenished often. Overall, it was an outstanding place to stay!

LHotel is a wonderful gem in stunning Montreal with location, comfort, and service galore! Wonderfully friendly and helpful staff are the icing on the cake in this 3.5-star that wins against many 4-stars. Stunning art collection on full display adds depth to a fun experience, underpinning conversations over refreshments. Enjoy Montreal for F1 in June, and be cared for with breakfast and lunches to go. Easy access to downtown, Metro, and Old Town. Will be back!

This is a great hotel. It punches above its weight in terms of its 3.5 star tripadvisor rating, with its exquisite façade from a former life, its location right in the middle of Vieux Montreal, easy walking distance to the city loop buses, train, other main hotels etc. Notre Dame Cathedral is only 1 small block up the street. Restaurants aplenty surround and the riverside a 5 minute walk.

We drove in as part of a drive tour around the eastern cities of Canada. Rue Saint Jacques was easy to navigate, and on arrival a courteous valet parking attendant was there ready to park the car.

Let me say up front - the staff are really friendly, not over the top, efficient, and happy on the job. We didn't seek porter service, and it wasn't pushed on us either. The lifts were handy, and access to the rooms very manageable. The front desk is not a huge concern, but this adds to the ambience of the place. Now, let's talk ambience.

The entire hotel is loaded with modern art inside and out - not copies, the real deal. On entry, you walk past one of two versions in Canada of Robert Indiana's Love sculpture. Inside, the public spaces are filled with interesting works by the likes of Andy Warhol etc. Along with the odd piece of rock music memorabilia as well. The suites don't escape the treatment either. The corridors and rooms are all decorated with originals.

Rooms were generous in size, sleep quality first class.

The lounge is served by a small bar, with discreet service never far away. Breakfast room is bright and light, and the continental breakfast certainly passing my wife's critical review. Funk, modern art, young and courteous staff - great fun. We stayed 2 nights, but should have stayed 3 or 4. Ah well....next time.

Just a few minutes walk to all of the tourist attractions in Vieux-Montreal, L'Hotel is in an outstanding location. The staff was friendly and helpful. As an added plus you can wander the public areas and see an interesting art collection. Our stay was like being in a warm and friendly art museum. The continental breakfast included in our rate was very good with a wide variety of fruits, meats, cheese and breads to choose from. Next trip to Montreal, we will definitely stay at L'Hotel

We planned a long weekend in Montreal, our second trip within 3 yrs! What a surprise to arrive at the hotel we chose via the internet and find it charming and staffed with very helpful, friendly staff!
The hotel is decorated with a very interesting art collection, something to appeal to all. The room is very comfortable. The location is very convenient to the Old Montreal and the metro. Great and welcome surprise!

Wife and I stayed 6 nights in this hotel in the old section of Montreal. Excellent hotel in a terrific location. Hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. Room was large and quiet. Bed was comfy. Enjoyed having pod coffee maker in room. My rate included breakfast each morning--good deal and tasty breakfast (yogurt, cheese, fruit, bagels, croissants, milk/cereal, tea/coffee, and pastries). Could walk to many tourist attractions and also had fairly close access to metro (~3 blocks). Would definitely stay here again!
