What attracted me to Le Place D'Armes was the brick walls in the guest bedrooms, as well as the location. I was pleased with both. Being in the heart of Old Montreal was fabulous. We got great service whenever we needed anything at Le Place. I would stay here again and recommend friends to as well. Loved the cheese plate at your bar too. Can't wait to stay at your Place again!

I booked my clients for one night at the Place d'Armes before they headed up to Mont Tremblant. Due to the ice storm, Magil (& Joes) the concierges reached out to me proactively, to re-schedule their transportation up north and also found them a hotel in Toronto where they were stranded. This is why Place d'Armes has earned the reputation it has. The people are amazing there. From Nickolas the front office manager, to Madeline Jones, Jose and Magil, great people who always make Montreal a memorable place to visit. Not to mention the huge rooms and the great bar scene!

Room Tip: junior suites are the way to go!

Easily one of the most picturesque hotels in Old Montreal, our stay there was absolutely brilliant. In a conversation before arriving they asked us for the purpose of our visit, and we told them it was our birthday weekend, so they upgraded our suite on arrival! The hotel actually has three interconnected historic buildings, each with their own character and charm. The location is quite unbeatable, and one can explore both Old and New Montreal from here on foot. The staff were thorough and impeccably courteous. On one particularly cold night we decided to stay in and the hotel were very kind to get us a spot at the packed Japanese restaurant downstairs. Our King Suite was perfect. The walk-in shower was a highlight. It was pretty cool in the suite though, which was the only downside. We cranked up the heat, and had the electric fireplace going, and yet it was not nearly as warm as we liked it to be. Overall a great stay, and one we would highly recommend it!

This hotel was recommended to me by a friend and I have to say that it certainly lived up to the recommendation. It is conveniently located right in the heart of Old Montreal, across the street for Notre Dame and only 10 minutes away from the train station. Our Executive King Suite was enormous (4.5 rooms), but still felt very cozy with an electric fireplace and exposed brick interior. The ensuite washroom had a rainwater shower that was the length of the room and a freestanding jacuzzi bathtub. Madeleine at the front desk was very personable and gave us wonderful restaurant recommendations. Le Place d'Armes is definitely a bit of a splurge - but well worth it if you are looking for a romantic getaway.

Room Tip: The Executive King Suite is huge (front entrance, 2 bath, living/dining room and bedroom). Skip room...

This was our first family trip to Montreal. The location was perfect for exploring Old Montreal, museums, the waterfront, restaurants and night clubs. We took a cab from the airport to the hotel since we figured we would explore on foot or use the Metro to visit other sections of Montreal. Our rooms had been remodeled & were spacious with high ceilings and windows, wood floors and tiled bathrooms. Included in the rooms were bathrobes, lovely scented bath products, hair dryer, down comforters for bedding and an umbrella which we ended up using due to the rainy weather.
The bar and night club within the hotel is definitely worth a visit. Not only do the guests enjoy it but the locals as well. The only complaint we had was that our room was located above the nightclub and the music kept us awake 1 night of our 3 night stay. So you might want to avoid the 2nd floor. My overall rating between atmosphere, amenities, comfort, service, friendliness, location is a ****. Without a doubt, I DEFINITELY recommend Le Place d' Armes Hotel.
Happy travels!

Room Tip: Avoid rooms located on the 2nd floor that are located above the bar/night club. We stayed Thursday...

Place D'Armes hotel was very accommodating during my recent business trip. I stayed there twice in the last 2 weeks, the first trip being a little longer to form a well rounded opinion.
Front desk staff were friendly and we had full use of a meeting room which we used to get organized.
My room on the first trip was a beautiful suite with rain head shower and a spa bathtub. I would highly recommend soaking in this jetted tub. Peppermint scented toiletries supplied in the bathroom augmented that relaxing experience.
The second room I had included a large rain head shower only.
I quite enjoyed the comfortable beds; as well as the aesthetics of both rooms with exposed brick walls and fireplaces. House keeping was good.
The main restaurant Suite 701 had a good menu selection, the burger and fries are excellent. Breakfast, which was included with my rate was a decent selection of continental options. We ate there several times and my only critique is that service was at times slow, and a couple orders were incorrect or were not delivered at all.
There were various lounges to relax, watch TV or play pool. They also offered complimentary hot chocolate in the lobby lounge during the evening which was a nice touch.
The hotel is walking distance to everything including great restaurants, sites and shops in old Montreal and I would definitely stay there again.
Merci!
