Nothing to criticize as far as this hotel is concerned. I moved from Montreal 25 years ago and this has been my hotel ever since I discovered it 15+ years ago. I know the city well and can't imagine a more central location to get around with or without a car. 15-minute walk to the mountain OR vieux port (aka Old Montreal). 10 min. to festival ground-zero.
So location is as good as it gets.
On to the hotel pros; rooms are gorgeous; huge, full-size windows, comfortable beds, various configuration options, all with galley kitchens w/appliances and eating areas. Hotel staff are informed, very customer-oriented, perfectly English-French bilingual. Amenities include a very nice breakfast (included), morning papers in lobby, valet parking (recommended) and a nice indoor pool with an adjacent deck/outdoor seating area with a wonderful view. Great hotel. Not new but feels that way; constantly updated. Selected dog-welcome rooms, good for family OR couples. I wish I had a hotel like this in EVERY city I travelled to. All the stars.More
