My husband and I stayed at Nelligan for our honeymoon and it was the most perfect place to stay. The staff were incredible, the hotel pristine, the restaurant was out of this world and the location was fantastic. I would go back without a doubt!

We have now stayed at Nelligan three times. We travel often in both N America and Europe and wish that the hotels where we stay had the same charm and service. We love the way in which this hotel has been constructed incorporating the original structure especialy the brickwork.

The hotel has a lot of lounge area for socializing and light snacks and drinks.Topping off the experience is an excelent restaurant. To us Nelligan is 5 star all the way

Hotel Nelligan is a gem is nestled in Old Montreal. The most quaint and beautiful hotels to stay. Love the service, decor, rooms, atmosphere and location.

From speaking with co-workers, each room has it's own character of architectural loveliness. Loved having classical playing in our room as they turned down our bed in the evening. Breakfast buffet is very good too!

It's such a beautiful hotel (peaceful and cozy), you won't want to leave. Service was very good (staff is always smiling and helpful). Definitely recommend booking a room at the Nelligan. Centrally located, close to restaurants, shops and carriage rides along the waterfront.

This is a wonderful hotel in a perfect location. Our room was very big, something I did not expect in the old section of Montreal and the bathroom was luxurious. The service was consistently superb and we were able to check in early on the Sunday of Grand Prix race weekend, which was great! I will definitely stay here again when I come back to Montreal.

My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights while we were attending a large conference at the Palais des congrès de Montréal. The location was quite convenient, just a 12-15 minute walk to the convention center.

I made my reservation through American Express Travel, they offered a discounted price that turned out to be cheaper than staying in the official hotels associated with the conference. Our reservation was for the room type: "Loft Suite with 1 King Bed." The hotel staff was very courteous and made great recommendations for restaurants.

The building is old, like historic, but internally has been redone. Our room was quite big.. the decor was very stylish and the wall had this cool exposed brick. Our room overlooked the tiny street. Generally it was quiet in our 5 days there..but one night there was a loud party in the bar across the street and we could hear it -- but otherwise no major noise issues.

The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was very roomy, clean, stylish and sleek. One MAJOR plus to this hotel -- Free Wifi! Finally, a high end hotel that includes wireless internet in their complimentary service.

The neighborhood is great. Really gives you a feel for the unique place that Old Montreal is. Every morning we walked up the street to our favorite restaurant we discovered there "Olive et Gourmando"... great breakfast and lunch items on their menu. When we walked to the convention center, we passed by the beautiful Notre Dame cathedral on the way. We would catch the Metro from the convention center whenever we needed to take the subway to other parts of Montreal.

Overall it was a great stay. We turned a business trip (for the convention) into a little romantic vacation and experienced the beauty and culture of Montreal at the same time.

We stayed in this beautiful boutique hotel with our friends from overseas over a weekend. The location is perfect if you would like to explore the old city. Restaurants, galleries, Old Port, shops are all within walking distance. Try the nearby Bocata or Barroco restaurants to make your Montreal experience truly perfect. The interior is stylish with a modern urban twist and very well maintained. The staff is very friendly and eager to help with every question or request. Little note: breakfast selection was quite limited, and in my view should include more egg courses. Overall, an excellent place to feel Montreal's charm.

This hotel far exceeded our expectations. The receptionists were extremely courteous and helpful, the room was an elegant "cocoon", the hotel lobby and restaurant were atmospheric with exposed bricks and portraits of the poet after whom the hotel is named. As if that were not enough, the food served here is fabulous. We were planning on dining at a restaurant at another location, but ended up yielding to the impulse to "stay put" and were extremely happy with trhe meal we were served at the restaurant. This is the hotel we hope to return to whenever we are in Montreal.
