This is a small company that takes up to 20 or so people on their tours, as such it is more personal and enjoyable. We went on the half day tour which goes to two wineries. Both were great to visit and very picturesque with staff from the wineries showing us how they make the various wines and showing us their vineyards. Tastings were terrific - there is a spectacular cheese platter at Coteau Rougemont and the ice wines were delicious as were some of the ciders. It's a very informative trip and the guide on Kava was great as well. The only negative point would be the style of bus that takes you. While it is air conditioned which is good, the ride is very bumpy. I know the roads in montreal are not great but the suspension felt non existent. Tip - ride at the front rather than the back of the bus. All in all though well worth doing and lovely too see some countryside and family wineries. Although it states the tour is 1-6pm, the bus actually leaves about 1.50. Nice snacks and water on the bus too - thanks Kava.

My sister stumbled on Kava tours while planning for a stay-cation, I am so happy that she found this tour. Our guide was amazing, the wineries were beautiful, and the wine makers were incredibly knowledgeable, and courteous. The tour is most certainly worth the price, I think we tried 11 different wines. I would love to go back for the full day tour, as we went for the half day.

We were in Montreal on a combination of business & leisure. Our schedule was irregular, and we needed to make a reservation for a half-day tour on one day notice. Another company was unable to help us, but Kava Tours had no problem. Our business schedule ran a bit late, and we were rushing to make the rendezvous. When we arrived, our guide put us at ease and let us relax. We visited two wineries, one large & one small. At the large winery our host was extremely knowledgeable on topics ranging from the geologic history of the Rougemont region to the history of viticulture. The wines were varied and interesting. My job was to keep my wife from buying more than we could carry on the airline. The second winery was magical, like a visit to Middle Earth in the Tolkien books. A husband and wife team designed ands operates the vineyard and the wine-making. Their customers show up at harvest time to help out. The wines are very unusual, and the maker's description of them is pure poetry. Fortunately, we had been restrained at the first stop and were able to buy a variety with exotic tastes. Our Kava guide was spritely and personable. We have told our friends in the area about our adventure because they are generally unaware of the Quebec wine industry.

It was a very insightful trips for us. The tour was well planned with different learning classes to allow the learning of wine in different ways. The bosses and tour guide of the wineries were very engaging and patient . One can feel the passion they have for wine making and the need to share it with everyone.All in all,it was a great tour with great company.
