“Good value and close to transportation stations”
Reviewed 12 November 2013

Auberge Le Pomerol is located near Gare d'autocars de Montréal and subway station. It just 3 mins walk to go. The front desk staff is nice and helpful with quick check-in procedure. The first comment is a stair near the front desk and very small space in reception area. Guests need lift up their baggage case and walk down stair to a living area. Lift lobby and restaurant also nearby. The room is clean and no special design but still feel all right and comfortable. Bathroom also clean with some amenities. Our room is facing to the main street, a little bit noise. Room space is enough but a rare column is located near the bed. The breakfast basket deliver to your room outside is recommended service. Finally, I recommended this hotel especailly if you arrive Montreal by coach.

We were dropped off a few blocks away by the airport bus and walked along Rue Beri. That particular stretch made us a bit nervous, but once we got to our little auberge, we were so happy to have made the choice. Many people have mentioned Chantal, and we will too, she was just delightful, but everyone we encountered there was so friendly and helpful.
Service is top notch. So, the room was small. There was a two person whirlpool tub in one corner of the room -taking up valuable real estate - hard to unpack my suitcase, etc. having said that, the room was clean, nicely decorated, and the bed was super comfortable. The location was near the UQAM metro stop which is a hub - you can go anywhere from this station so that was ideal. We also walked everywhere from the hotel- very close to Rue St. Denis, St. Catherine, Old Town, etc. Other reviews have mentioned the baskets of breakfast left outside. I cannot tell you how sweet this was. We ate I our room one day, but found it more comfortable to eat in the little kitchen provided for guests. Afternoon snacks as well. Such a sweet place.

We stayed here 3 nights and loved every aspect of it. If you are arriving from the airport, take the 747 bus ( $9) and walk 200 m. to the hotel. This is your classic European style boutique hotel. All the staff we encountered were friendly, helpful and extremely welcoming. There is an charming sitting room with computer access if you need, along with snacks provided throughout the day. Our room was immaculate and cozy. Breakfast ( cheese, muffins, yogurt, fruit) is delivered in a picnic basket to your door every morning. The hotel is a couple blocks away form Rue St. Dennis where you have a huge selection of very good restaurants to choose from. It is a leisurely 20 min walk to the old city also. Will definitely stay here again whenever i am in town

Delightful European-style boutique hotel. Take the 747 airport bus to the central station and walk 150 yards. Metro station close by. Comfortable, quiet room. Nice breakfast. First class service. We stayed here 3 nights prior to a cruise. Lots happening in the neighborhood. Fun place. Good value.

I LOVED this hotel, and highly recommend it. The staff is friendly and competent. On our last morning, we had to leave at 4:15 in the morning. Our cab (ordered by the hotel) was waiting for us, along with our breakfast, packaged in a to-go bag.

The hotel itself is clean and the facilities are very nice. In the kitchen, light snacks (cookies, cheese, crackers) are available in the late afternoon and evening. There's an impossibly cozy sitting room, that would be right at home in a Paris hotel. Breakfast is delivered to your room in a picnic basket, with croissants, muffins, yogurt, cheese.

Additionally, the location is VERY convenient, just a block away from the Berri-UQAM metro station (green, orange and yellow lines), the Gay Village, and the Latin Quarter. Old Montreal is just one metro stop away, the Plateau, two stops. Lots of little shops nearby, including a (French language) bookstore next door. Two drug stores and a grocery store are a block away, should you need anything.

One note, though. When we reserved, the hotel website mentions free transit passes if you book directly, though the hotel has since discontinued this offer. Not really a big deal, but had we known, we would have bought a 3-day transit pass at the airport, instead of the one day ticket that gets you on the 747 bus from the airport.

It is a gem. Outstanding staff, extremely helpful and still cordial.. Little touches - like the basket breakfast. Rooms comfortable (not too large). Everything you might expect from a family run small hotel. Excellent location, metro and bus station near by and a private (extra cost) parking lot right in the court yard if you come with your own car. Located right near (one street away) the St Dennis and still quite. Nice homely lounge.

Cute little hotel northeast of downtown Montreal. Cozy rooms (small but comfortable), baskets of breakfast goodies delivered to your door each morning, metro and bus stops nearby, and a very good French restaurant right next door. It's also near the Latin District where all the students hang out, and where there are lots of affordable bars and restaurants. The staff at the hotel were super nice and helpful, and the parking was affordable. There's a quirky little used bookstore a couple doors down, and a fun bar with a pirate theme (Yer Mad) the next block over. Everything we needed was nearby. It was a nice respite from the craziness of downtown.
