Monteral has its fill of museums and Inuit craft stores - but this little two roomed gem is worth seeking out. i visited (from Ireland) at a time when the ethongraphic museum was closed but the very warm and knowledgeable curator (Diana) responded to my dissapointment and gave me a guided tour and introducuction to the old tools and photographs upstaris. She really made the artefacts come alive and opened up my understanding of how why the contemporary art is as it is. A wonderful counterpoint to the pieces by current artists in the gallery downstairs and just 5 minutes walk from the Museum de Beaux Arts. Time well spent.
