“nice but crowded lessons”
Reviewed 25 November 2013

Studio is cool, the staff is very nice and professional but the lessons are crazy crowded :-( Hopefully they will manage soon the problems with capacity and latecomers who are disturbing the lessons.

“Not welcoming for beginners and for new members”
Reviewed 10 November 2013

As we recently moved near Atwater market an were looking forward to giving a try to studio Breathe, about which we had heard very positive comments.
Despite receiving free pass in their newsletter and trying to benefit from their "open house" week-end, we weren't allowed to try without paying the sessions first. Which we did.
Unfortunately, studio breathe didn't deliver on their reputation.

The instructor was more interested in showing off what she could do instead of providing guidance and alternative postures for people who were less advanced, which was the majority of the class. we had to try things that, obviously, 95% of the class couldn't even begin to do.
My girlfriend, who is an avid yogi, was shocked that in a class that was clearly beginner -intermediate level, the instructor had people try to do inversions and backbends which can be very dangerous for the spine, and forbade us to drink water.

When leaving, we looked at the schedule and asked the receptionist what were the TRX classes she was selling - she had no idea: "maybe it has something to do with ropes?"

Overall, a very disappointing first experience, not very welcoming for beginners and new members - and quite expensive at 46$ for 1 class for 2 persons.
Thankfully, the juice bar offered delicious free sample that day ;)
