“Great place for a short stay in Montreal”
Reviewed 17 April 2014

If you're in your early 20s like me chances are you don't have a ton of money to spend on a hotel. This was the perfect place for us, we stayed here about 2 weeks ago while in Montreal for a weekend. The room was nothing special but was clean and so was the bathroom (fresh towels + toiletries). The free breakfast in the morning was good and the hotel is located right downtown and near a subway station (Berri-UQAM). The subway pretty much goes anywhere. There are a lot of places to eat nearby and the nightlife downtown is great. The staff were friendly and helped us find a great bar nearby as well as cool places to eat. Really enjoyed our stay, if you're in Montreal for a couple of days and need a comfy place to lay your head at night and clean yourself up, this is it!! There are also a lot of young folks that stay at this hotel.

The location is excellent. Around 300 meters away from the subway station (Berri-Uqam). Also, you have plenty of places to eat or buy groceries nearby. The bed was comfortable and bathroom was clean. They have a simple breakfast for free, which is really cool.

The room had a horrible cigarette smell. I mean, honestly that hotels still allow people to smoke in the rooms? The smell will never go away. And staff could be more friendly. I had the impression that all the staff was always in a bad mood.

I've stayed here twice for the Osheaga long weekend, and there's never been an issue. It's a clean and comfortable roof over my head for sleeping and showering. It's conveniently located, steps from Berri-UQAM and the St Catherine's strip. The staff are friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a cheap and convenient hotel.

We checked in at this hotel and noticed a men's underwear on top of the bathroom's door! We reported immediately to the front desk but they didn't believe us at first . That was so insulting and we asked them to move us to another room. When we moved to another room, we had a door lock problem and they had to move us to another room for the 3rd time! Don't ever stay at this hotel !

I've stayed here twice and not because I loved it, but because it was convenient and i'm a college kid on a budget. Montreal is two hours away from Burlington VT where I go to college so we come up to Montreal often to have fun weekends. This hotel is very convenient for anyone who is exploring Montreal it is just a couple blocks away from the bus. We travel on the greyhound and walk to the hotel. The hotel is also close to Berri-UQAM subway station, which many already mentioned in their reviews. A tip: The subway station has a weekend special. for 12 Canadian money you get a pass from Friday night to Sunday. You can get anywhere by subway. Overall, the hotel isn't that bad it has a continental breakfast which saves us having to go get breakfast. It has a tv in the room and a place to lay your head. Can't complain. Its not a five star, but it was okay. The prices are reasonable as well. Especially if your traveling with a group and you split the cost it saves you a whole lot!

Room Tip: Any room really, there isn't a room that is better than another.

The hotel is very close to the Berri-UQAM sobway station, and also to the bus station. For those who are going to Quebec City after visit Montreal, it's a good place. There is a lot of good restaurants close to the hotel, in the St Catherine street. And it's a short walking to downtown. The room was ok, but there was a kind of a party in the next room, and took a long time to the staff stop with that.

Room Tip: Don't chose a room in the front, because the street is very noisy.
