I staid at this hotel for a family reunion. I expected much better service for the price I paid for this hotel. Their service is so bad and their crew are so rude. They even refused to clean the room in the afternoon.

Suites are spacious and just what we needed travelling with a child. She slept on the pull out couch in the living area so it was great to be able to close off the bedroom door and watch TV. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept on and the kitchen area was very handy for eating snacks or take-out food. I'd say all the other appliances were almost too nice (huge fridge, dishwasher, microwave, granite countertops) given there isn't a stove. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast each morning and went to the evening reception a few times as well. It was an excellent place to have a drink before heading out to dinner. The hotel is in a fantastic location close to everything...Chinatown, rue St Catherine, Old Montreal, subway, etc.

The Wifi signal was very poor and sometimes cut out completely. The bathroom was huge and had a nice vanity area but the potlight was right above the head so it wasn't much use for putting on make-up, etc. Everything was nice and clean but the carpet had some pretty bad stains.

Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel.

I've never been an Embassy fan but the rest of my group stayed here so we fell in line. We were VERY surprised. First of all, the service at check in was great. Our room wasn't ready as we were early, so they stored the bags and then gave us excellent information as to what to do in the meantime. The concierge was very helpful and friendly. They give you 2 drink coupons/person and free hors d'oeurves in the evening so that was very convenient. They also were able to recommend a very nice restaurant nearby. The hotel seems to be in a business area and yet the old town is just a few blocks away. You'll feel like you stepped into Paris. The room was HUGE with an almost complete kitchen, living room and VERY large bathroom. I would stay there again.

This hotel is in a perfect location to visit all of Montreal. We were only up for two nights and just one full day. We were able to easily use public transportation to get to Mount Royal but it was also a very pleasant walk into Old town. We were upgraded to the Presidential Suite and it was amazing. Full kitchen including a dishwasher, huge main room that included a two sofas, a dining room table and a fireplace. This was a corner room so it also had views on two sides. The staff was very helpful, especially Chris the concierge and the Managers reception person. Coupons were handed out but not really needed. Avoid the eggs on the buffet table and ask for them to be made by the person who cooks the omelets.

We stayed at this hotel for one night to be able to explore some of Montreal. The size of the room on the third floor was great with a King in the main bedroom and a double pull out in the lounge area. Unfortunately the noise of the air conditioning kept me awake. I managed to get 3 disturbed hours sleep purely due to exhaustion. The carpet was stained heavily in the lounge area. I was very thirsty so went to the bar but was told it was closed ( despite French speaking customers still being served). I was told I would have to find a shop or bar nearby! I went to the main front desk and was told there were vending machines on every "even" floor. The first machine wouldn't accept any coins. The second accepted coins but didn't give any drinks. The third finally accepted coins but only had water or coke left so I made do with water. Getting a bottle of water had taken 40 minutes. The breakfast was chaotic. No tables inside were free so we were told to sit at the tables outside (it was raining heavily). We insisted on staying inside and waited for tables to come free but by then hot drinks and some foods were running out. It was a great location but the service could definitely have been better and the rooms a little cleaner. We stayed in many places during our stay in Canada (BC, Ontario and Quebec) and we found service everywhere else of an excellent standard.

The location of the Embassy Suites in downtown Montreal is great. It's within easy walking distance of the ND Cathedral, Old Town and Chinatown. The underground station is right accross the street which gives you easy access to most of Montreal. A daily bicycle rental station and dedicated bicycle lane are literally right in front of the hotel.

The lobby of the Embassy Suites was dark and nothing special, but check-in was very fast and efficient. They had everything ready for us, our Hilton Honors room upgrade, activated room keys, breakfast and drink vouchers, and a parking garage pass (self parking $$). The whole check-in took about a minute! This positive first impression of the staff held true throughout our stay as we found all of the hotel's staff to be efficient, helpful and friendly.

Our upgraded corner room was bright and fabulous! It was huge, with two fireplaces, a full kitchen, a dining area, work station, and a living/sitting room. The bathroom had both a separate shower and jetted tub. Both the bedroom and living room had large flat screen TV's above the fireplaces. The suite was beautifully decorated and sparkling clean. Our stay in Embassy Suites Montreal was wonderful and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Montreal.

Room Tip: Ask for a corner room.

Just spent three nights at Embassy Suites Montreal, the rooms were spacious and clean and the service was impeccable. We booked three nights with different awards and had to change our keys everyday; the staff had our new keys for us every morning without us even asking. The concierge staff was extremely helpful and courteous. Bobby, the concierge supervisor and Mike, the concierge, had great suggestions for restaurants and attractions within walking distance from the hotel. They even managed to secure a table for 10 at L'Original for us. The location of the hotel is perfect for families and couples who want to have easy access to the waterfront and old Montreal. We could not decide whether we should stay at Hilton Garden Inn at Sherbrook or Embassy Suites, and we're glad that we chose Embassy suites. It is located in a very charming location. There are lots of restaurants, unique shops and landmarks within walking distance around the hotel. Only negative was the weak Wi-Fi signal. We did not have good reception in our room on the 11th floor, but the reception was much better at the lobby.

Room Tip: Request higher floors to avoid noise from traffic
