“Littly Italy - Big Food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 August 2010

Located in a quaint neighborhood a 15 minute walk from the nearest subway station, don't miss this slice of Italy. Yes - the chalkboard menu is pretentious and a little annoying, especially with translation required from your waiter. But, mama mia, you won't be disappointed. The stuffed gnocchi starter was amazing. The lightest gnocchi I have ever tasted. My halibut entree was garnished with some amazing dried cherry tomatoes, luscious polenta, and a broccoli rabe side. We finished of course with the tiramisu dessert - a velvety smooth rendition with assertive coffee flavoring. Delicious. Don't pass up Cafe Viau Dante if traveling to Montreal.

“Worth the trip”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 August 2010

If you're visiting the Jean-Talon market near dinner time, be sure to stop in to this neighborhood gem. Although it's technically in "Little Italy" of Montreal (nothing like those neighborhoods in NY or Boston), it's a little off the beaten path. Being on the early side, we were the first patrons of the evening and were treated like royalty. The appetizers were outstanding! They were outstanding! The entrees, although good, were not as impressive. Great atmosphere, menus on a chalkboard. Definitely a favorite of the locals.

“My Top Restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 August 2010

I can rely on something special here, where eat at least once a week. the food is done to perfection and somewhat high end without the price. The staff takes care of me nicely and very knowlegeable about what they serve. Very unique style not to be missed.

“Absolutely delicious!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 June 2010

The food, the ambiance and the service were impeccable. I went with a party of 12, and everyone was raving about what they ordered! The menu is full of lovely, fresh dishes that sparkle with fresh ingredients and lovely flavour combinations. Lovely, authentic Italian food! Definitely worth every penny.
