I went there on a busy Saturday night, where I had to wait for about 25-30 mins, however it was worth all the wait. Eventhough, it was busy and crowded the service was extraordinary! I had butter chicken, lamb biryani (my favorite) and goat curry with obviously a must have, fresh naan bread. It was sooooooo good. I cant even express it in words, my mouth is watering. I would recommend this for lunch or dinner for small or large groups! If you are planning to come to Montreal or are in the region and are in the mood for Indian food, this is the place to go! THE BEST! The atmosphere is very modern due to the new renovations.. specially at night when they close the lights! You can see the bubble walls really glow!
But at the end of the day, the food is what really everyone goes there for and the price is extremely reasonable.

Great food, great service. The reviews lived up to the food. The portions were great giving us dinner for later. We will definitely visit again on our next trip to Montreal.

We have been going to Malhi for years. Serving excellent food, this is an unpretentious, friendly, family business (the owner is always on the premises) It seats about thirty, in clean and basic surroundings which have lately been renovated. The food is always intensely flavorful. Portions are generous and the price is very reasonable. Bet bets: channa samosa ( appetizer) : samosa in yogurt, onion, and chickpea sauce. Great butter chicken, chili chicken (a "dry" curry, not hot despite the name: extremely tasty sauce with peppers and onions); alu gobi with lots of fresh cauliflower; lamb curry, any of their kormas (various meats in a yogurt curry sauce), and wonderful nan, which you can watch being cooked on the side of the tandoor if you are seated near enough to the kitchen. Taj Mahal beer and mango lassi also great. Very vegetarian friendly. They happily provide you with takeaway containers if you have any leftovers, and also have a thriving takeout business. While you eat, you can watch the the stars of Bollywood on the music video channel they have going all the time (without sound): adds atmosphere, and a definite plus in my book!

My favourite Indian restaurant in Montreal! The butter chicken is outstanding, and so are the samosas!

It's always fun to go as a large group and order a bunch of dishes to share. Truly delicious!
