“Perfection for men only in the heart of Le Village Gay”
Reviewed 11 July 2014

I am so glad i stumbled on this B&B on tripadvisor. Spent five nights with my boyfriend in early July 2014, and it was magnificent. Comfortable rooms, a full gourmet breakfast, and the perfect host, Denis. Denis has an amazing sense of style and attention to detail...everything ios comfortable and unpretentious with just the right amount of flare to make the average gay man feel right at home. He and his business partner made us feel right at home, provided a lot of good tips on what to see and do, and although they speak perfect English, were very willing to speak with us in French to help us practice. And, the private terraces were so peaceful and relaxing, so I could chill out and relax during the day while saving up energy to go wild in the Villlage at night, which was so easy, as we were perfectly located right next to everything: Old Montreal, Le Parc Mont Royal, the subway station (only a few stops from the Olympic Stadium and Botanical Gardens) and in walking distance of tons of awesome restaurants and my kind of bars...the kind with down-to-earth friendly boys who just LOVE Americans.

I could not have asked for a more pleasant experience at a great price. And, Denis is attentive to your every need but otherwise doesn't bother you...he knows his business (not to mention he is an amazing cook). And, with no women or children in the building, i could walk to the bathroom in my underwear if I wanted care free. Without a doubt, I will stay here again whenever I return to Montreal.

Room Tip: If you can, book Room #1. It is the largest and the the only one with a private balcony. We were luc...

Sorry girls this one is just for the boys. Spent a comfortable week here and Denis is the perfect host. We spent many a time discussing Montreal life during breakfast. Language not a problem as Denis speaks excellent English but if you want to hone up your French this is the place to go. Guest rooms are spotless and comfortable. There is a computer for guests to use if you do not have a laptop. Breakfasts were the best that I had on this trip. Dolby is a delight and greats guests with friendly wagging tail. Jeff the house cat sometimes shows too.

The hotel is 10 minutes walk or so from where the airport bus drops off and is centrally located in the village. Just be warned that the area has a significant number of beggars which are a minor irritant when looking for a place to eat. Plenty of bars, clubs and restaurants within easy reach. Rue St Catherine is opened again to traffic in early September and mid week tends to quieten down at night.

Room Tip: You can choose your rooms. Rooms 3 and 4 overlook the yard so may be quieter - not that there is muc...

location, location, location - Beaudry is a stone throw away, or turn left into St. Catherine if you want to warm yourself up for a walk to the city centre if Montreal's quite chilly. Msr Denis and Dolby (his pet dog) are very friendly yet unobtrusive. If you're an "anglophone", he makes a good conversation to practice your French during dejeuner, which he cooks himself in front of you, warm hearted brekky without any pretensions. After sundown, if you want to sample Montreal's nightlife, have a "souper" on Saint Catherine and just cross the street.

Room Tip: pretty much all rooms on the second storey have quick access to the shared bath.

Had a very pleasant stay. This has a perfect location – a quick walk to two subway stations, and very close to St. Catherines St with its bars, clubs and restaurants. The rooms were nicely appointed, clean and it was quiet. Despite the small dog and cats, they did not cause a mess or noise. Denis is very friendly and helpful in regards to where to go and directions. One of the nights I was there was the International Fireworks Competition, and he made sure I knew about it, and we watched them from his roof. He had a different breakfast ready every morning – ham and cheese omelet, French toast, pancakes. Breakfast was very good and filling. Next time I am in Montreal I will stay here again and would recommend it to everyone.

Stayed here for a few days in October. The room was impeccable and the owner very friendly. Breakfast cooked for you each morning and those little touches made all the difference. Great location for the Gay Village but also the main Montreal attarctions. This was the second visit and will go back next time we're in Montreal.

Stayed at this B&B a year before moving to Montréal, and what a warm welcome. Located in the heart of the Gay Village, so convenient to everything. The rooms are pristine and the owners are extremely friendly. Breakfast is home-cooked to order, yummy, and the possibilities change by the day, so you don't have to have the same thing every day. I couldn't recommend it any more highly!
