“The best hot dogs in the city”
Reviewed 4 March 2014

This landmark restaurant has been around the St. Laurent suburb of Montreal since 1969. Nothing much has changed in the 45 years since the restaurant first opened. And that's a good thing! The original menu sign is still up on the wall and the counter looks it's age. But people don't come here for the decor! The hot dogs here are the best in the city. The French fries are deep fried until they reach a beautiful golden colour; so crispy on the outside and soft in the inside. They make great hamburgers also! Well worth a trip when visiting the city. It's a 2 minute walk from the Cote Vertu metro station!

“greasy spoon like no other”
Reviewed 3 March 2014

I have been going to this tiny lunch counter restaurant for years and never tire of the food. The menu is really limited but the best around, fies, steamed hot dogs, are great. Fast & freindly service.Parking is by meters nearby but just drop in 50 cents and you will be okay as service is quick.

What can I say the best steemies in town. The cheeseburgers are delicious and the poutine is excellent. It is small but worth the trip. Cash only.

“A Good Blast From The Past”
Reviewed 21 September 2013

I grew up around this place and hadn't been back since the mid 90's - it was funny to see the kids behind the counter now white-haired and still doing their thing. I remember the dogs being tastier, but taste isn't the reason most people eat hot dogs...
Still a ghetto part of town but starting to liven up and now there are even some cafes with wifi, but this cramped little place hasn't changed much - from sodas in glass bottles down to the stickers along the kitchen hood, if you're looking for a classic doggy diner, then this is the spot.
