The location is ideal for the great festivals around town, restaurants and boutique shops. The building also offers nice amenities (swimming pool, clean laundry facilities, wifi and workout facility).

Sadly, the bed was horrible uncomfortable and the walls incredibly thin. I understand but found it odd that room service did not exist without paying an additional fee for it.

The location is great, however the building s really old. It s clean but the walls r too thin. The pool and the gym are too small that r good for 4 floors building!!! I stayed there during October 2011 and I was not satisfied at all. The price is really high comparing to the room and its amenities, well if u can count them as real amenities. I am not recommend this place to anyone.

Room Tip: Go for higher floors as they do noisy renovation in the first floor.

We stayed at the apartments during the Just For Laughs Festival. It was conveniently located close to the shops, restaurants, grocery store and public transport. The rooms were a good size and it was nice to have a little kitchenette to make a few simple meals. I thought it was a bit strange that there was no daily cleaning staff and we had to wash our own towels in the laundry if they were dirty, rather than given clean ones.
The only complaint I have is from the cleaning staff who gave us dirty looks at our door while we were still packing up and getting ready to check out. They just stood there giving us death stares while we trying to maneuver our bags around them in the tiny hallway.
Also, be careful about where you park your car, especially if you have an out of province plate. Because our car could not fit in their underground car park and the upper lot was full, we had parked our car in the lot next door. That evening, the lock was cut and our GPS was stolen, luckily we must have reached our car in time because they had no time to take anything else.

After reading others experiences here, I guess I got a nice room and had a better experience. Spending a lot of time on the road, the most important thing for me is a comfy bed and here I had a fabulously soft and warm and cushy big bed which made me giddy upon first glance. The building's exterior is awful, but my 10th floor balcony made sure I wasn't looking at the face of the building. Far from perfect, but comfy enough, nice people, very central. The new lobby was almost finished when I was there and it looked fab. If you want cold perfection, go to a hotel. If you want normal, comfy with edges, go here.

Room Tip: 1008 was fine for me. higher rooms will have less street noise.

Called by with a friend who had been intending to rent there. Mega- improvement works are happening in the entrance lobby, but the rest of the place is a tired old building. The studio we saw was tiny and crammed with furniture, foul old kitchen and uninviting-looking bathroom. Site security seems pretty low - more so with all the unfettered comings and goings of builders on the ground floor.

Ugh, ugh, ugh!!! And shame on Trylon ( should that be "try-it-on?") for the massive deception practised by their website.

Thank you for your review and your honest opinion!

As you mentionned the rooms are "tiny and crammed with furniture", therefore the approximate sizes of our apartments are all indicated on our website. We put all the fourniture that is necessary in every unit.

We are still working on our website in order to give you the right information. We also need to specify that we have 2 kinds of apartments: standard and VIP. All of our pictures are identified as standard or VIP apartments.

As for the security, we have a security guard and a night watchman every night since we are renovating the lobby and the main door doesn't have a security code for now.

Please, let us know what exactly you found misleading on our website so we can improve it.

Thank you for your time!

This accommodation is advertised as modern and clean. In reality it is old, cheap and dirty.

Rather than refurbishing the rooms they have simply slapped on layer upon layer of paint over the years.

The kitchen is like something from the dark ages, mouldy wooden cupboards, a fridge that makes so much noise it's hard to sleep in the next room, and also blocks you from opening the drawers for the cutlery. The coffee filter hadn't been cleaned in weeks and had a mouldy filter paper from the last person.

The bath is so small and shallow it seems to be designed for midgets.

The windows have not been cleaned for years and the air conditioning unit has been jammed in as an after thought with a cheap piece of plastic above it where the glass used to be.

The balcony is dirty.

The bedsheets and pillows are old and tired.

Light switches that do nothing

Some information provided in English and French but the important info about facilities only provided in French.

I hate this place, cheap road side motels provide better value except for the location,.

Thank you for your honest review.

We are sorry to hear about your experience. We are constantly improving the condition of our apartments.

We are renovating our apartements and the building in order to offer a better accomodation in the future. We are also replacing the refrigerators as soon as they are not working properly. The air conditioners are placed in the window (during summer season only) instead of the wall to have a better isolated apartment in the winter.

If our guests have any questions or complaints, our employees are always there to help.

As for the website, we are correcting the information in order to make it easier for all of our present and future guests.

Thank you again for letting us know about your experience.

Most of the reviews posted here about Trylon aparments are correct. The location is great, close to UQAM, McGill, the summer jazz festival, etc. The staff is efficient and well organized. The lifts do take forever, and there are only 3 of them for 22 floors. The salon downstairs is new, nice and cosy, and the entrance of the building was being renovated in July 2011. The building is rather old, so you can clearly notice several layers of paint on the walls, windows etc. In general, it's clean, but nothing fancy.
