Best quality indian food at bargain prices ... minutes from Scotia Cinemas (Carrefour Alliance Industrielle) in downtown Montreal.
Absolute must try dishes: the tandoori chicken, chana batoura and the veggie thali!

Another great plus is that the food is mild and easy on the stomach ... but very flavorful!

Easily rival the punjabi/indian restaurants of my hometown of Toronto!

Did I mention the service is fast and efficient?

A definite 4.5 out of 5! (- 0.5 for the limited seating capacity ...)

Thank Abdus N

“Cheap but tasty Indian food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 July 2014

Over the last 3 years, this has been one of my favourite restaurants in Montreal. As a Concordia University student, I came here at least twice a month for lunch or dinner. For lunch the chicken wrap (made out of fresh naam bread) is highly recommendable (approx. $5) and quite filling. For the hungry ones, the non-vegetarian Thali (pick 2 meat & 1 vegetable, comes with rice, naam, salad for $9.5) or vegetarian Thali is definitely the right pick. In general the food is really tasty and authentic. There is no other restaurant around which can beat Thali's value for money ratio.

“Cheap, and can be quite Okay!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 June 2014

The restaurant is definitely cheap and in a very good location.

The food, however,..

I am from India, and have never been impressed. It may have to do with the timing of my visit which is rarely ever during lucnh time when the food would be the most fresh. But overall, it is value for money because you do spend very little money on it!

“Awesome food....awesome price”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 June 2014 via mobile

Very good Indian food at very nominal pric es....8.50 CAD for three veg gravy, naan, rice and salad. Pay a dollar more and get 2 non veg gravy and one veg with naan and rice.
Lamb curry and kadi pakora are the two I liked most....and also palak paneer.
Must try if you are in Montreal downtown. They don't have much seating space but I was always able to get one even in rush hours...had been there thrice already. If you like boiled Indian style tea, you can get a big glass for 2.50 CAD.

“The very best food Indian food and the price is unbeatable”

Absolutely delicious food and the prices are terrific. Gourmet Indian food for student prices. The decor is bare bones, but the food and pricing more than makes up for it.
