Holiday Inn Express Quebec City (Sainte-Foy)
Ranked #29 of 100 Hotels in Quebec City

The Holiday inn Express in the Sainte-Foy district of Quebec City really hits it right on very note. This is everything a modern business class hotel, like a Holiday Inn Express should be. It's funny that I had to travel all the way to Quebec City to find it!
If you're used to the standard HI Express in the states, it's almost the same..just...slightly...better! The room is very clean and has been recently remodeled. I really like the additional of faux hardwood floors (laminate) instead of nasty hotel carpet. Plus the ultra modern sink and bathroom decor was a real bonus. Other people have complained about noise, but I didn't hear a peep from anyone and the hotel was packed full during my stay.
As a business traveler, I appreciated the little things that this hotel gets right. Super comfy bed and pillows, and A/C that is easy to use and is quiet, wonderful and powerful hot shower, and very easy to connect hi-speed wireless internet! My only complaint, if I can find one, is that in the bathroom the only amenities are the usual crappy HI Express shampoo and conditioner and soap which smell way too much like their super sweet cinnamon buns for my taste.
The staff was very helpful in explaining to me how to use the tourist bus into downtown Quebec. The bus leaves from the hotel next door and is $3 CAD for a full day pass. It was super easy and convenient, and I don't speak a word of French.
I am sure there are plenty of super nice boutique or small hotels in Quebec City, but as a frequent business traveler, I am all about the Priority Club points. But I would recommend this hotel to anyone coming to the area!

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express at the recommendation of other people. We were not disappointed. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a full breakfast each morning before heading out to the Old City for the day. It was just a 10 minute drive to a reasonably priced parking area that gave us easy access to the city.

Clean, modern hotel. Only problem with wooden floor is that, one morning, the next door guest kept walking back and forth in hard soles. He/she woke us up! Breakfast was ok, but the only fruit is banana. Marie Anne the receptionist was super friendly and courteous!

Their ad stating free shuttle service to City is seasonal, so check! Still, when I called, explanation was not clear about available shuttle. We were told it's a shuttle, but actually it's a $3 bus service (route 400) only available in summer and starts 10 a.m. The hotel's shuttle does not start until late June. We were there a week earlier...

2 PCs are free to use for internet access!!! Thanks!

We stayed in this hotel for two nights with our two 4-year-old kids. Everything in the hotel was new; room was clean, a good size (two queen size beds) and modern. I especially liked the hardwood floor (instead of dingy carpeting) and the clean bathroom. A small refridgerator is in the bathroom under the sink counter; which is easy to miss. About 10-15 min scenic drive along the St. Lawrence River to get to Old Quebec, and literally a minute drive away from the new Aquarium (good for kids). Free hot breakfast was good: hot eggs, bacon, sausages, pancakes, yogurt, cereal, fruits, cinnamon roll, chocolate or strawberry mini-muffins, juices and more (nice to be able to take along hot coffee for the road too). Free Wi-fi I was able to connect to via my iPhone.

Although its location is not in Old Quebec, we just parked at the cruise docking parking lot right across from the Museum of Civilization for $17 for the whole day, and once found metered parking on the street in that area too. Hotel is right off a major highway which is very convenient (but no noise issue at all).

The front desk service was very friendly and helpful. Make sure not to order in from Boston Pizza (took forever for them to take a basic order over the phone), and they never showed up even after 1.5 hours so we ended up canceling since it was almost 10pm by then.

we spend two nights in this hotel. with our friends and eiught children between the age of 10 and 18. staff was very friendly, even though our children were luod and they played chess in the lobby around 3 am in the morning. the pool was outdoor and very small, the rooms were clean. But the breakfast they served was great.

Good value hote. Nice breakfast. Nice pool. I didn't like the harwood floors, dangerous when they got wet as we came in from the pool. Room not spacious enought to have with kids. Would have been better if the bed in the living room was the sofa and not a murphy bed as the murphy bed took up the whole living space and you can't get to the door from the master suite if the bed is down. Bathroom had no bathtub!
