“Nice rooms, great location”
Reviewed 5 June 2012

We stayed here for 2 nights while sightseeing in Quebec City. The rooms are very spacious, comfortable and quiet. I got stuck sleeping on the hide-a-bed, but even that was pretty comfy. We didn't try the restaurant at the hotel because there are lots of awesome cafes and restaurants within close walking distance. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you're spending time in Quebec City!

We just returned from a fabulous stay at Le Port-Royal Hotel in the old town area of Quebec City. Right across the cobblestone street are fantastic restaurants, and antique shops that will provide hours of interesting fun! Turning left, you begin 2 blocks of a walk into the old town district passing art galleries, restaurants, and the early beginning of little shops. In 5 minutes you are facing a 300+ year old church, and the boutique area really begins in earnest. We took the incline up the hill to the Upper Town area and later walked the steps as we returned to continue to see the history of this wonderful city. The hotel was charming - exposed brick walls and stone - a "loft" kind of feel. Doorman all the time and such friendly help it made our trip so enjoyable. This hotel is wonderful for 2 people ina room; a little tight for the 3rd although that was our situation and we managed. You cannpt beat the convenience and the kitchenette for early morning coffee. I highly recommend this hotel for it's location, comfort and service.

In the lower part of the old town, very convenient to everything. Our suite had a nice view of a square with a lovely fountain surrounded by charming buildings. Close to the Museum of Civilization, the market, and Place Royale, and an easy walk to upper old town. You can take the funicular as well. It was fun to just walk around the area and take in the ambiance. Such a beautiful city!

Our room was lovely. We had a full kitchen with stove/oven, microwave, full sized refrigerator, dishwasher and sink. Dishes, pans, glasses and cutlery were also provided. The suite included a comfortable queen bed, sofa sleeper, table and chairs for 4. Also in the corner was a wood burning stove which would be nice in the winter. Bathroom was clean and roomy too. Walls were brick and stone - very quaint and cozy. Everything was nice and clean. 100% smoke free hotel which is nice.

The hotel restaurant (48) was a bit pricey. The food was good for the most part but very small portions for what you pay for. Desserts were yummy!

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We would love to come again.

This hotel is perfectly located in the old Quebec city, at the bottom of the hill, walking distance to pretty much every tourist attraction in Quebec. Rooms are very modern with hardwood floors and brick and/or stone walls with new fixtures. Everything was spotless clean. The hotel has a parking lot where you can leave your car for $15/day, which makes it really convenient. Staff was friendly and spoke English, we had a problem with our A/C which they promptly solved. Plus our room had a fantastic view of the town, we were able to open the windows and take really nice pictures! We paid $130/night which I thought was a bargain. We will stay here again next time we visit Quebec.

I have stayed here several times over the past few years and when my budget can not afford the Dominion 1912 next store this is a good alternative. The hotel staff is friendly, the breakfast is good, the location is excellent. The rooms are quite large, modern and comfortable. The bathroom was also very new. There is a kitchenette in the rooms I have stayed in as well as a sitting area with a bedroom in another room. I find it is missing some of the little touches like often their light bulbs are burnt out and not replaced or the light in the bedroom does not work. But this place is good value for the money and I love that it is pet friendly and within walking distance of most of the attractions.

The hotel is nice and cosy, I rented a suite with my family (2 adults, 2 kids). Separate bedroom, bed-couch, TV, internet, small kitchen. The price was pretty fine too (low season - May).

Room Tip: We didn't have a chance to try the fitness centre. The hotel is walking distance from the Petit...

Loved this place. Spacious decor everything was great. A little walk from the old city and restaurants but it's still close to the water etc.

Staff all super friendly.

Great if you want a kitchen and rooms are super clean and modern.

Loved it!
