“Sexy. Chic. Romantic.”
Reviewed 28 June 2010

We loved this hotel. What I loved most about the hotel was the sexiness - each side of the bed has a dimmer lamp and all the windows have very nice silk draperies that keep the sun out. There is a bose stereo system that we had playing soft french music the whole time. There was a cute glass table by a large bay window that we ate breakfast at each morning. This hotel made my trip and it was definitely a highlight. I will never stay in another hotel should I return to Quebec City. What we were looking for:
1. Romantic, yet modern. Did not want quaint/charming.
2. Parking and wireless internet
3. Location near cute Quebec City
4. No more than $200 per night
Hotel has parking right in front that is free parking until July 31 2010 - you must ask for it. Check out their website and tell them you saw free parking on website. It is directly across the street from the beginning of the cobblestone cuteness of Lower Town. Theres a bar and restaurant which looked super packed and super cool and a lounge/wine bar which also looked really chic on the premises. There is the Marche de Vieux Port walking distance which is like an indoor farmers market with veggies cheese pastries etc. Easily twenty restaurants, galleries, gelato shops, etc nearby. Walk to funicular that takes you to Upper Town was about 5 minutes through Lower Towns cobblestone cuteness again...
We stayed in the Junior suite which had a very nice kitchen that took up an entire wall - a minifridge, cooking range, lots of pantry space, sink, and all the pots and utensils and wine glasses. Four large bay windows with french doors that opened with screens. Flat screen TV that we never turned on. Nice bathroom with marble counters, full size blowdryer, tub with shower. Full desk with wireless internet.

Over priced for the quality .I stayed at this pretend to be classy place on June 16th, 2010. Even though this condo hotel is in a great area of Quebec City (the old port) the rooms are over priced and not well kept. I paid $209 CDN for a one bedroom (Queen Room was supposed to be a King bed). The closet was damp and smelled of mould so we hung our clothes off the ceiling pipes in the living room. The kitchen counter top had burn marks on it and part of the counter top was broken off. The fridge was clean. The stove top was not clean. The grocery store and pharmacy are very far from this property but okay if you have a car.

Stayed for 2 nights at the end of May 2010. I have no complaints for this room which is more like a little apartment. Everything was fine. The location was great - a short walk to the Funicular and you are in the heart of old, old Quebec (at the port). It is nothing too fancy and I do not have anything to compare it with as I am not an expert on Quebec, but for me, the price was just right for what we got.

Just came back from a 10 day stay at Port Royal. Went to Quebec for the international Pee Wee Hockey tournament. This hotel served all of our needs, just about the only place you could stay that had a kitchen. Stayed in the one bedroom suite. Very spacious, nice modern decor. Located in the heart of lower town and only a ten minute walk to upper town. Everyone at the front desk were very pleasant and helpful, especially Christian. A full service restaurant and a bar are also in the hotel. Maude at Le 48 and Carolyn at XO were exceptionally friendly, and everyone is bilingual. Take the option which includes parking and breakfast. Stay here, you will not be disappointed. Whether you have a family or just looking for a couples vacation, you cannot go wrong. Will definately stay here again, maybe for a summer trip this time!

This hotel was perfect for our 6 night vacation with 2 small children, in fact we had 4 small children in the room most nights as we were travelling with friends. We chose the one bedroom suite and it as worth every cent. The staff were very friendly and bent over backwards to help with any request. We were given complimentary breakfast which was an unexpected surprise. We ate in the restaurant frequently and once again experienced friendly and helpful staff.

We had a great stay and will return.
