Owner description: A creative chocolate shop and an informative small chocolate museum where visitors can learn about the history of chocolate. The Chocolate Museum is free, self guided and displays more than 200 artifacts and objects related to chocolate history. All the displays now have their English version. Two video are presented (Artisan Chocolate Making and the Industrial Chocolate Making Process (French), from the cocoa tree to the chocolate bar). Watch the chocolatiers at work through a window while you try one of our 10 renowned hot chocolates. In the boutique, the chocolate lovers will find a great variety of classic and audacious handmade chocolates (try the Biquette, a chocolate with goat cheese and Bartlett pear puree!). Indulge yourself with one of our chocolate pastries (chocolate brownies, cookies, cupcakes and decadent chocolate cake) and during the summer, let yourself be tempted by one of the 69 homemade ice cream, sorbet, frozen yogourt and tofu offered! Érico is located in the Faubourg Saint-Jean Baptiste, a convivial part of the city, outside the touristic old walls, that is worth the visit.

Unfortunately, we didn't have time to explore the museum as it was almost closing time, but we did purchase some hot chocolate. What a divine experience! We opted for "La Decadent" and it was! Thick, not too sweet and oh, so chocolatey. A must see for any chocolate fan!

Has a museum room you can spend 10-15min in, and the chocolate selection is good and the staff friendly. My companion loves chocolate so it was a good stop for her, for me it was ok.

The restaurant Le Hobbit is just a few doors down and worth eating at.

Super fun chocolatier! Great for all ages. Delish hot chocolate and variety of chocolates to taste. The best part is the museum in the next room where displays informative things, videos and artifacts about the history of chocolate. Great for kids, teens, adults....
Check it out!

Went to the Chocolate shop/museum on our trip to Quebec and was not disappointed. I had read the reviews before going so I already knew it was not a big museum but rather an interesting display of chocolate themed artifacts and pieces of interest. The Chocolate selection is amazing and it was difficult to only;y choose a few. We went with the chocolate of the day which was a poached pear/ cheese - filled concoction and a raspberry filled dark chocolate. Difficult for a chocolate lover to not buy more =)
